First off I would give zero stars if I could. I have been trying to terminating this relationship with this Horrible Lawyer for two weeks now. I called his office for two weeks and have not received no updates on my case status. I expect reasonable communication and sound legal advice and did not received either. The fact that emails went ignored then posted " out of office till further notice call office. I needed his services on to many Occasions to many to List, but Your failure to properly represent my case multiple times in court where the judges and Family relations ask where your counsel is?. 3/15/2024 was the last time I was in court with this lawyer. the red flags of I honestly only have 4 cases and I don't really want to be a lawyer anymore. This being said while he has a huge boot on his leg and claims malpractice suit from having a cast cut off his leg was severed. but interesting enough his Facebook post of him walking the family dog, and running after his daughter. Good luck ever getting a retainer back based on any agreement you sign with this lawyer he has a history of keeping remaining funds!!! RUN!!! don't hire him you'll hate your self for writing that check and never getting counsel.

This man should be disbarred. If I could mark this as a negative 10 I would. Attorney Powers took my retainer, assured me everything would be fine, etc etc etc. Then did ZERO work (which I learned about when he passed me to a new attorney 2 weeks before trial which I also learned was taking place on the same call). My divorce was fairly black and white - had my attorney done his job. I turned all discovery materials around in a timely manner and he did NOTHING with them (while making it seem like he was doing something). Due to his total negligence, the court prevented me from entering certain evidence. Ultimately, I have to live with an outcome that can never be corrected, one that will impact my daughter's financial future forever (by way of hundreds of thousands in lost child support). Even in the 2-3 months since, he has completely ignored every email (though he is reading them), ran into my new attorney in court (promising he'd reach out so we could come to an agreement - if only to get my retainer back), he didn't even reply to a simple request for an apology. He does talk non stop, even more annoyingly when it's about his extremely expensive watch collection yet he's not paying me a cent back... No one "loves" lawyers, but this was beyond despicable (the judge who mediated over my divorce even made it clear to me that this was absolutely a case of legal malpractice). I put my life in his hands and he literally ruined it. I will be digging myself out of this mess for the rest of my life. Horrible experience, save yourself the anguish - hire anyone on the planet but him.
