I wish I would’ve read the reviews before WASTING my time. What’s the point of EEOC ? First of all Jahaira Quintana was the WORSTTTTTTT. She seemed very uninterested when doing intake. She actually had me feeling discouraged. She seemed to be on the employer side. It was explained to me that I had a discrimination case, she said I had 5 days to sign complaint….. she never sent complaint. I had to call and leave vcm. She called back and "claimed" she was sick 🙄. Then she sent her intake notes of what I said… oh my god she literally put everything in her own words. Using sentences that would hurt my case and favor the employer "I went and confronted the supervisor?" Like what… then everything had to"LNU" although I provided last names and a very thorough explanation of my case.. after revising what she wrote. I was sent the email to sign for charges on 1/28/26… on 2/2/26 she had closed my case and gave me the right to sue. To be honest I think she’s a little racist as well. She had me very uncomfortable. EEOC need to be sued and closed down!!!!!

I really don't understand these negative reviews below!!!... My case was handled with respect, attention, and professionalism by Mr. Elvin Arce and Mts.Mary Byrne. I have nothing to complain about; on the contrary, I am eternally grateful to the EEOC through these two employees who were angels during this difficult time I am going through... I am eternally grateful to them and hope that others can also benefit as long as they, like me, present sufficient facts to support a charge.

My fiance opened a case with Jose Torres at the Tampa EEOC location 8/2024, we have not heard from him since Novemeber 2024!! Almost an entire year! There have been zero responses to emails he has sent Jose as well as calls. This is ridiculous and just shows how unethical these people are.

They are the worst. I filed a discrimination complaint with them. I had all my paperwork for review. Anyone that’s blind could see that this was clearly a racial discrimination case. The investigator found some crazy excuse to say that my complaint wasn’t valid and they wouldn’t move forward. What they seem to do is decline to investigate but give you the paperwork for the right to sue; knowing that it maybe challenging to even get an attorney to take your case. I once heard an attorney state that the EEOC is somewhat of a buffer leaning in favor towards the employer. The EEOC is set in place as a stall tactic.

I spoke with Elvin today and omg he was FANTASTIC!!! In everything (stress & mistreatment) that I've been doing through with my now previous employer. Speaking with Elvin was a breath of fresh air! He helped me navigate the intake & charge process. I was so worried my time would run out but thanks to him, he saved my sanity and time. God bless you!

Useless. Never gets back with you on you case, call back or answer the phone. They even had to fire some investigators because they were letting cases rot and expire. They need to do a total staff cleanse, hire competent employees and better management who will actually do their jobs.

Very responsive office. Seeks to protect the employee and their rights. I have had only good experiences with all staff for my inquiries.
