Absolutely fantastic attorney, and good person. Richard Maita was actually representing the buyer of my land (not my attorney), but he still went above and beyond to help me get the payment, despite my lender taking an excessive amount of time to provide the lien release. He stayed late the day he was supposed to leave for the holidays so that he could receive the documents he needed, and I could pick up the check! Thank you so much! I hired Mr. Maita for a real estate purchase and years later, while trying to sell my house, I learned I don’t have a marketable deed. The deed he prepared was faulty. His half hearted work has created months of delays and an unquantifiable amount of stress and hardship for not only me, but the people who want to buy my house and everyone else involved in the process. When I originally brought this to his attention and asked for help, he agreed. I had to spend more money obtaining a second set of signatures. Like his original work, the corrective deed he prepared was/is also flawed. We are still unable to close. In addition, his attitude has been apathetic, he took no accountability and actually blamed me for the problem. Mr. Maita stands out as one of the most unprofessional, greedy, entitled and unqualified individuals I have ever crossed paths with. Hire someone else if you value people who value you and have your back. Isn’t that what attorneys are supposed to do? Protect their clients?
