I began working with LS Carlson Law about a year ago after spending nearly two years fighting my HOA over serious mishandling of funds. After getting nowhere with my previous counsel, I was referred to LS Carlson Law, and attorney Ahmet Brown took over my case. From that moment forward, everything finally started moving again. The firm followed every proper legal channel and applied the right pressure to force the HOA to respond and produce the documents (some) they had been avoiding for years. The case ultimately went to mediation, where I was able to recover most of the money I had spent up to that point. While I didn’t walk away with additional compensation (which was disappointing after such a long battle) Ahmet reminded me that a successful mediation is often one where neither side feels completely satisfied. He was right, and I appreciated the honesty. Today, I’ve had to rehire the firm because the HOA failed to comply with part of the settlement agreement. At this stage, with all the groundwork already done, I’m confident the process will move much faster. I’m hopeful that this time I’ll finally see meaningful accountability, and maybe even some compensation, for the stress and financial harm this HOA has caused. I had an exceptional initial consultation experience with LS Carlson Law. The staff was extremely helpful and efficient with scheduling and creating an initial folder of information for my appointment with Jeff Kaminsky. We need to slightly rearrange our scheduled appointment but once again both staff and Mr Kaminsky were prompt and courteous. Today I had a consultation with Jeff Kominsky to discuss an unpleasant encounter with a board member of my HOA. I wanted to know what my legal options are in seeking punishment and removal of this man from our board. I wish I could give an excellent review, but unfortunately I cannot. I have been harassed by the COA ever since I moved in 5 years ago. One member of the board would create specious violations about me and filed them. At other times, he would watch me unload my paddle board and sit outside of my unit. I attempted to get a TRO to no avail, (no violence) but the judge severely admonished him to stop but he has continued. The COA president participates in the harassment. I was exhausted & exasperated after I received another 3 spurious violations and contacted your firm in November 2025. Michele Hobby was interested and remarked it was "severe harassment." Despite the fee, I decided I needed legal representation. Since then, Ms. Hobby has obtained records from the property management office January 18, 2026. I have paid about $5500. And that has been it. I have contacted her 4 times, She contacted me once. I have no idea what is occurring. Quite frankly, I think she is having difficulty with the opposing attorney. This case needs to close; I need to be compensated; and the board needs to leave me alone.
