Selecting Donaldson Stewart Associates was a big mistake, and I kept running into problem after problem with this law firm. Normally a client is already under stress from some event, and I kept having to worry about what else was going to go wrong at the law firm. Little compassion was offered to me. Marty Zalevsky called me at 11:20 est one night, for a due date that got messed up and was due at midnight. I was dumped on with legal documents I had to translate myself. I was told things that contradicted the basics that other lawyers had told me during consultation. Marty told me everything would be wrapped up my April/May, and that didn’t happen. I switched to Monica Donaldson thinking this would be a fix. More issues and problems here also. At one point, I asked her to create a settlement. This wasn’t even attempted. She marched forward with mediation, which isn’t the immediate settlement attempt I asked for. Also the law firm kept sending my personally identifiable information with no protections. I told them to either not send or encrypt it. This wasn’t done and I had to keep reminding the paralegal over and over. Lastly, please check the Yelp reviews for this firm. I have not received the refund for my legal trust account. Next steps are to file a case with the AZ State Bar, if this is not refunded ASAP.

Monica Donaldson Stewart and staff are very knowledgeable with a high level of integrity. She is extremely professional in and out of the courtroom and has dealt very well with my high-conflict case. She's fair and definitely has the children's best interest in mind. She's quick to respond to me and keep me updated on my case. She's done well in keeping me focused on the situation and not allow the emotional aspect of divorce get the best of me.
