Richard Tappan is one of the finest attorneys that you could have represent you. I was blessed to work with him on a case for 2 years and served as a medical expert. Richard went to battle for an elderly client as the court appointed Power of Attorney, that the MD's at a hospital in DC wanted to let die. He was not happy with the universal opinion of the MD's and requested an outside medical person to assess the case. I spent one day with the client in the hospital and quickly found that the MD's were just rushing this client as she had no insurance, they wanted to let her have comfort measures and expire. When I gave my assessment to Richard Tappan he took on the medical staff and used his legal prowess to demand treatment. She required several surgeries and a recovery period. She recovered from the surgery and Richard worked so she could be in her own home for the next 2 years and receive around the clock care from dedicated nurses. He demanded the truth about this case and was not afraid or intimidated by a group of MD's. He went the extra mile and you can be assured this is just who he is...someone that will not let you down even though you are facing very difficult circumstances.
