Please pay close attention to the other reviews talking about poor service and not responding. We needed a lease and an option drawn up. We were repeatedly told it would be done by the 15, which was a hard deadline for us. On the 15 he told us he would have it done before he left the building. He never sent anything to us or the real estate agent, and today he didn’t get back with us call us or touch base at all. He was friendly, polite, answered every call we made to him right away, but he couldn’t stick to the schedule and get the job done. He should have referred us to someone else instead of jeopardizing a deal.

Truman Barker has been the most reliable, responsive, and consistent closing attorney we have worked with in the state of NC. We do multiple closings with him every month and no matter the situation he comes across, he always has a resolution. Could not say more good things about him and his office!

Don’t ever work with this company. I’ve been involved in over 500 transactions and this is by far the most incompetent title I’ve ever worked with. Our deal closed 3 weeks ago. Mail is backed up due to a snow storm and we asked weeks ago to cancel the checks and send wires instead. They’re refusing to do so. They are lazy and take days to reply to emails.

This attorney is the most dirty dealing attorney around. Please steer clear. He is a very crooked attorney and I had to continue calling over and over for him to give me my money from the sale of my home. They tried to keep $10,000 from my home sale and kept giving me the run around of why he couldn’t pay it. He tried to find everything possible to give me less and I had to keep demanding my money from him. I have made a complaint with the law board for multiple breaches of contract and for other things that will be shared at a later time. He is very unprofessional.

I'm going to keep this short because there is a lot of frustration at this point. I have used Truman in the past and have had zero issues with him and close on 2 properties with him. However, or the last month I have had to fire him from two jobs for no communication after multiple emails and texts requesting information. I had a off market property I was trying to move fast on and Truman took weeks to call the number I provided him and I got follow up questions for the seller asking for updates. Every time I call him he says he is either in a meeting or not in front of his desk he will call me back at a specific time and never does (that happened like 5 times in a row). The seller and I final agreed to fire him and go to another attorney to handle this closing. I have never worked with a lawyer or any professional services for that has shown this much lack of professionalism. Its just uncalled for. I’m not sure what is going on with him or maybe someone quit but I will not be calling him back for any of my real estate needs. There are too many good, reliable attorneys out there. He almost cost me the deal with there is no excuse for.
