I am an 82 year-old widower. On January 7th, I lost my home of 45 years in the Palisades fire. In my fairly long life and career I have unfortunately had to employ attorneys on several locations as is normal business. There have only been two occasions in which I was fully satisfied with the work performed and the fees charged, and very recently, one of those was with Kabateck LLP. There are many things I liked about the experience working with Kabateck. I found their team to be deeply experienced and knowledgeable, and able to explain the nuances of my case in layman's terms. They were punctual and gave advance notice when we needed to have conferences or meetings whenever possible. I also like the size of the firm -- they are large enough to have adequate staff and resources, but small enough that we were able to work directly with Partners and senior staff. Our case was multifaceted and lengthy and involved several different defendants. They were handled sequentially and in such a fashion that I was never confused about who was doing what to whom and when, which was an accomplishment in itself. Perhaps most importantly, I felt that the Kabateck team took a true personal interest in us and our case -- they refused to settle for easy first offers from the defendants. They were aggressive, but in a tasteful way ... and conducted the negotiations with more of a collegial approach that I approve of ... because quite frankly I find a lot of personal injury law to be distasteful and not based in logic. Suffice it to say that I highly recommend Kabateck LLP and despite the fees that some might consider high, I felt there was excellent value provided -- especially because they conduct these lengthy cases all on contingency so there is no cash out on the part of the plaintiff ... and that in itself of course has significant value.
