I needed help with an employer situation and Faye Cohen spoke to me. I explained that a previous lawyer already sent letters to my ex-employer and they refuse to respond. She said she could help me. After I paid the retainer, she passed the case off to a less experienced attorney. All he did was send two more letters. When I realized they weren't going to do more than that I asked for the rest of my retainer back (afterall I did tell them upfront that this would need more than letters) and they said it was nonrefundable. They never followed up with me about the case and I never even received a copy of the letters they sent. I would consider what they did to be a grift.

Funny how they pledge to get to know you. I was referred by legal ease. They also believe that building strong client relationships is key. Faye answered the phone herself but barely gave me 5 minutes of her time before she told me it was time to "go get lunch"! My case was extremely personal and the matters contained within it caused me years of pain and confusion as it pertained to an estranged parental relationship. Faye had the unmitigated audacity to ask me for a copy of my Mothers will (which I did send) but Radio Silence after that. No email, NOTHING ! This was very humiliating and made me feel... you know what ? I can't even put into words what this makes me feel like. Thanks for NOTHING Faye. Must have been a really good sandwich.

I cannot recommend Attorney James Cushing highly enough! My simple divorce case had been stuck for over 8 months due to my first LegalShield-referred lawyer, who was so unresponsive and ineffective that I had to fire him. I did my intake with (I believe) Attorney Cohen, and paid shortly after. She assigned my case to James, and from that moment on my case went super swimmingly. James was an exceptional lawyer—clear, honest, proactive, and kind. His communication was excellent, and he consistently kept me updated and grounded in reality throughout the process. He tackled my case head-on, addressing every issue quickly and professionally, and finally brought my divorce to a resolution. I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews of this firm beforehand because I would have avoided it, so I’m thankful that my experience with both Attorney Cohen and James was outstanding. James turned an incredibly frustrating and drawn-out situation into a smooth and successful outcome. If you need a lawyer who truly cares, communicates well, and delivers results, James Cushing is the one to call.

I was referred to James Cushing through work. I guess I got what I paid for. He was very dismissive, and did everything in his power not to go to court. Perhaps it's another story when u retain him outright, but why sign up to do that just to let your client get further financially abused by her ex.

I was referred by Legal Shield and assumed that on the initial call that It would be a consultation. I listen to her for a few moments as she (Ms. Cohen). Read through my files, she asked me a few questions about the case but didn't ask me to explain the issue. I found her to be very dismissive and she mostly told me things that I did wrong in the few mins we spoke. When I stopped her for a minute and explained that I am consulting with her and another firm she said " Well why don't you go with them then because I don't do that" and hung up. I am honestly still in shock, lol. This is my first every legal matter and having options is important. I found her to be dismissive, unprofessional, condescending, rude and unconcerned with my matter. I would NOT recommend using this firm.

I was in need of a lawyer and was referred to the offices of Faye Riva Cohen by the Philadelphia Bar Association. I contacted her office and immediately Ms. Cohen took my call. She gave me wise initial advice and a realistic view of the situation. She was thoughtful about her fees given the circumstances and gave thoughtful legal counsel which helped to settle my situation without a high cost or drama. I highly recommend this office.

I was referred to this firm by my LegalShield membership services to handle a landlord tenant matter. I can agree with every 1 star review of this firm stating that Faye Cohen only cares about money, and she stated as much on our call. She said she charges hourly but would require $8k - $10k up front. That is completely insane and ludicrous. She said she has been an attorney for 50 years and charges for her time. Other attorneys from other law firms reviewed my case and stated I definitely have a leg to stand on, but are unable to take my case on due to their current case loads. Faye read the same things I sent to the others and she had the audacity to state, "you have some... interesting theories.." Umm, excuse me? They aren't "theories" they are facts proven by over 200 pages of exhibits I have related to this matter. She was arrogant, inconsiderate, and contradictory. Stating how she charges hourly but needs $8k -$10k (yes 8-10 thousand dollars) upfront to get started. Do not even bother contacting this firm, especially if you are referred to them by anyone else.
