After repeated denials at every level—initial, reconsideration, and appeal—I contacted Attorney Bertics. He took on my complex case without hesitation. The process was long, difficult, and emotionally exhausting, but his professionalism and persistence never wavered. After my first hearing before an Administrative Law Judge, I was denied again. We appealed, and the case was remanded back to the same judge. Following that second hearing, Attorney Bertics wrote a post-hearing brief that, in my opinion as a former paralegal, was one of the most precise and compelling legal documents I’ve ever seen. He identified a critical legal error made by the judge and presented it so clearly there was no room for dispute. His expertise had brought an end to a 10.5-year battle and secured my SSDI. After leaving my paralegal career, I became a registered nurse to put my early college medical education to use. When my health significantly declined, I was forced to stop working again.
