Darie has been the best attorney we have ever worked with. We have worked with big firms to well-respected referred attorneys, but no one has ever been so pragmatic, outcome based and focused on us. We spent a significant sum of monies with other attorneys as a start-up to support conversion from LLC to INC, but all ended up with significant questions, increased complexity, ask for more monies to redo the base materials with no final outcome. My experience with Darie (both in his capacity as partner while at Pearl Cohen, and under the the Ofek law group) was exemplary … where he represented my company, as lead corporate counsel and as co-counsel in a litigation matter, respectively. First and foremost, Darie is a well regarded attorney in the LA and Israeli startup scene, known to founders, VCs, and service professionals "in the know," etc. Furthermore, Darie has continuously supported the efforts of our startup by being particularly mindful to not become a cost-burden to us, especially early on. His advice (strategic positioning) and legal expertise on some of the more critical matters really proved valuable as well … Darie ensured that our growth wouldn’t be stifled by extensive legal fees and had offered us generously discounted rates, at times remitted work for free, and ultimately, fostered a trusting relationship that escorted our company (over the past 4 years) from pre-seed to Series A - by all accounts, we have viewed him as a valuable member of the "team." … I founded the company, so over the course of 4 years, I can attest to the qualitative nature of his work as well as his ethics. If you need corp legal representation, look no further.

Stay away at all costs - otherwise Ofek Law will charge you costly. Darie Ofek has been accusatory towards me as his client in the very first weeks. I needed his help to get almost $7k back from a consultant who never delivered the work. And Ofek Law then told me in an aggressive tone that I don’t pay people working for me…although it was the other way around. He was also aggressive in other incidents and way overcharged me for the most simple task. I sent him an already existing consulting agreement he just needed to edit. He claimed the edits took him so much time - so he charged me almost $3k. He then cut then in half easily when I inquired why he charged me for phone calls and texts…we had because he misunderstood things. He should not charge for communication that is to clarify misunderstandings and he also should not overcharge early stage businesses. I ended up paying him almost 5% of our total resources for a simple agreement we never used and which should only costs up to $500 (unless he would have drafted it from scratch). Overall very temperamental and easily aggressive acting attorney…towards his own client! Stay away is my advice. If he tries to dispute this, I will show the receipts as it’s well documented.
