Horrible experience. Would not recommend! After telling them I was a single mom of 4 on a very limited income, they still managed to get $1680 charged up and not ONE thing was done in 13 months time. Then they tell me if they want me to have them continue services, I need the rest of the balance paid in full. And I guess she gets paid the $ from both parents at the same time for a session, so she is literally getting double what an attorney normally gets paid. Not only was my ex and I both I rushed, talked down to and now I’m being harassed about $680 more of a payment when I was told $1000 should cover the mediation sessions. Would not recommend. Waste of money that I coils have used towards my children instead of going to a very rude, unprofessional attorney.

Stacy Ortega was the worst lawyer to hire for our child support/time adjustment case. To begin, her case load is immensely more than she can handle. We had a terrible time getting a hold of her or responses to our questions. At one point our LCM had asked us to gather character witnesses and we had to tell her we couldn't ever get ahold of Stacy to ask exactly who we were supposed to recruit. She eventually got back to everyone asking for a personal extension because her work load was overwhelming. She was dealing with our personal lives in the greatest aspect and couldn't give us the time of day. When everything was settled it took her no time to ask for payment. In fact, we talked to her 10x more when she was looking for compensation than when we actually needed her help. My advice to anyone considering hiring Stacy is to not. She might be a good lawyer, but we'd never know because she was never fully involved or on the same page as everyone else in the court case. We will never work with Mrs. Ortega again.

After spending 3 months with no movement on my case, all while seeing my children very little, I rolled over for my soon to be ex-wife to cease dealing with Stacy. She constantly talked over me, and her fees were obnoxious, and I didn’t make any progress whatsoever. The entire process took 6 months, and I literally received nothing but frustration. If you’re a dad who is an active participant in your kids lives with a spouse who has no reason to deny shared custody, go to court. Stacy sought to constantly reduce my position, all while never challenging my spouse.

Stacy is one of the most honest and hard-working attorneys. Her integrity and dedication to my divorce case was unmatched. She was always kind, helpful and determined to get the best outcome for myself and my children. She had my back all the way. I highly recommend Stacy Ortega.

Stacy and Roxy were amazing. I had a crook I hired, who ran off with my money and got his license suspended. A friend told me about this law firm. They were very professional, timely and communicated every step of the way. Their services are worth every bit of what you pay. They even assisted me with the application to the victims trust fund. My divorce was finalized last month. I could not be happier.

I did not have Stacey as a lawyer directly but I am with someone who did. She went above and beyond for over 2.5 years of a divorce. She was phenomenal and very helpful through all aspects of the case. She cares for her client and never wavered or gave up on it no matter what was going on. She very much proved her value through the entire process.

Stacy is definitely a straight shooter. In my ongoing high-conflict custody issues, Stacy has been professional and only had the child’s best interest at the forefront, and not either parent. She is not afraid to call it like she sees it and has listened to both sides impartially to determine the best course of action to provide the most stability and comfort to the child. If you want someone who will have the child as the center focus, choose Stacy. If you want someone to do whatever you tell them to and tell you only what you want to hear, choose someone else. This lady is rooted in reality and it’s fantastic.
