I've been a Type 1 Diabetic for over 34 years. In the past 2 years, I've had the Dexcom app which has helped me better manage my glucose levels. November 6, 2025 is a day I'll never forget. I was asked to silence my phone during a funeral. After the funeral I had been talking with family and friends about the life we had lost. I had forgotten to turn my Dexcom alerts back on. I went to meet the family at a restaurant, but I never saw any of them, so I decided to drive home. During that drive home, my blood sugar dropped below 40 without it alerting me because phone was still silent. I ended up getting a careless operation ticket which is a criminal case.
