I am disabled and rely heavily on proper legal support, yet he ignored my calls for months, leaving me to handle urgent appeals and critical legal matters entirely on my own. He did not accommodate my disabilities, did not communicate, and showed zero concern for my children’s safety, well-being, or legal rights. He never took the necessary steps to advocate for my children under ICWA, even though they are Native American and entitled to specific protections. He failed to recognize or mention their ICWA status, neglecting this essential aspect of their rights. During his representation, my daughter Ariella was separated from me, her siblings, and her father, and was moved three times in foster care. She was never given to me since birth, causing extreme trauma. She now shows PTSD, severe anxiety, and uncontrollable fits during visits — all effects directly caused by his lack of advocacy and failure to protect her. Ian ignored deadlines, failed to act on urgent matters, and at one point literally walked out on me before my case was finished, leaving me completely unsupported in a high-risk situation. His negligence caused extreme stress, unnecessary delays, and real harm to my children. Because of his complete failure, I had to rely on a new pro bono attorney, since I cannot afford a private lawyer. That attorney was able to fully understand and represent my case in just one day, accomplishing everything Ian neglected for over a year. This stark contrast shows his unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and inability to properly advocate for his clients. 2 years ago I thought my life was over when I got a dui until I stumbled upon Tully & Weiss.
