I was injured in a not-at-fault MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) and tried handling my case myself for over 2.5 years. I attempted to settle without an attorney. The other driver's insurance made a ridiculously low settlement offer, which they claimed was "higher than what we would normally offer in a case like this." I almost accepted the offer because I actually believed what they said.
