UPDATE: After speaking to the office they were apologetic regarding the lack of communication and information. I explained my position and they were understanding and stated that they would look into the issues regarding the delay of information. Very pleased with their response. I went with this law firm to help with a deed transfer upon death and so far I have to say the communication has been terrible. They stated they were going to send an email confirming the details of what was going to happen before the call, which they did not do. I even called to see if the email address was wrong but it was not. Then they stated that they would send the email of the paperwork so I can hire a notary to have it completed but still nothing yet. They were quick to take my $450, but will not respond when there is a question. Sooo disappointed with the whole thing. My family is already going through alot and to add this to the pile is just the cherry on the Sunday. All we were asking for is communication but unfortunately thats not how they operate. If you are looking for someone to help with estate issues I recommend looking else where.

Have no issue with the firm as a whole even though they ended up dropping my case. I think they did a great job for no money up front so props for that. Doug tried to work with me regarding payments. After I did not read the contract for probate guardianship as well as I should have before signing(read closely). Which I take full accountability for. Also, Suzanne took a lot of her time to answer all questions I had and was very detailed. Thanks to the firm for your hard work. I’m sorry there were issues with the payment regarding my mom’s business account, and the decision not to sell the home. Everything will get squared away soon with the payment. I had a consultation with Daniel Ahn today, and unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience. He was polite, but I didn’t find the conversation very insightful. I had one specific question I was hoping to get clarity on, and I had to keep redirecting the discussion back to it, as we spent a lot of time on topics we were already aware of and informed about. I tend to communicate in a direct and to-the-point manner, and I think that may have come across as rude, which was not my intention. I was simply trying to focus on the reason for my call. Again, he was kind and professional, but the conversation felt unfocused and not as productive as I had hoped.

If you happen to be going through a divorce and want to write a new will that removes your ex as a beneficiary or a medical power of attorney holder or a living will trustee, DO NOT use this firm. I was wanting to remove my soon-to-be ex husband from these things to ensure he didn't benefit from my death, nor see to it that I did die. His lawyers answer to that was that I needed to wait because he would only get half and my children would get the other half after going through the stress and expense of probate. I'm sure he would volunteer to handle that probate and eat up as much of my estate as he could.

WOW. Just wow. After months of searching for an attorney - being turned away for one reason or another, not finding someone who would work with my financial situation, and often feeling dismissed or misunderstood - I was honestly about to give up. I felt completely alone. And then Doug showed up. It was like a light from the sky. He literally saved me - at least from being at a dark place in my life. For the first time, I felt heard and understood. A huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I finally felt validated. Doug not only listened, but he also brought a level of professionalism, knowledge, and assertiveness that I hadn’t seen before. He pointed out things I never even considered, and everything just clicked. I’m in awe. I’m relieved. And I’m incredibly grateful. Doug is good.

I have used Douglas’s services on more than one occasion. I am an attorney practicing in another state, but he was most helpful, knowledgeable and effective in handling some probate matters for my mother who lived in Arizona. I highly recommend him and his firm.
