My wife and I had a wonderful experience working with Andrew and Sarah Meyer. We started casually looking last year with Andrew. We called Andrew months later when we became more serious about purchasing a second home in Munds Park. We met Sarah this fall and they jointly showed us several homes. We finally decided to make a purchase just recently and they guided us through the process, never being impatient with us and always digging to answer our questions. Being from the Valley, they also referred us to home inspectors and contractors which have all been helpful and pleasant to work with! We would highly recommend Sarah and Andrew to assist you with your next property search. Thank you Sarah and Andrew.
I had a terrible experience renting through Laurie Hamilton. When we moved in, the house was dirty, and the backyard was covered in dog feces. We had to ask them to come back and clean it up. Any repair requests went unanswered, and when we called, we just got excuses. The breaking point was going 15 days without heat during December and January, with no follow-up from Laurie. I even contacted Greg Remmers, but he didn’t seem to care at all. Eventually, the homeowner found out and fired them. Now we rent directly from the homeowner, and things have been so much better since.
After multiple run ins with the woman at the window threatening to tow my car for parking in their large (for flagstaff standards) lot to visit the neighboring business I finally decided document my experience. Each time this woman reprimanded me I explained I was quickly stopping in next door. (I’ve been parking here for this reason for years before remax operated out of the building) Each time she repeated that she’d have my car towed until I had no choice but to tell her to go ahead and call. The lot next door is difficult to get into, maneuver in, much smaller and frankly the business serves more people at any given time. It’d be really simple to erect signs reading "parking for relax and neighboring businesses" or " 30 minute limit" but it seems after a bout a year of this they haven’t even taken the larger picture into consideration. Reeks of scarcity mindset.
I have been "working" with Allen Ginsberg. I moved into a rental in October (4 and a half months ago). You have to apply to before you see the rental. So I did. No one ever called me back. So I had to follow up. I was told sorry I didn't see you applied. Got approved that day. I was told all the things I need to get set up in order to move. Waste management was one and I asked if I need to being my own trash container was told let me check. Did not get back to me until the day of move in which was weeks later. Day of move in comes I go to the place to make my move in payment and the address on the lease was incorrect. Tried calling a good 7x. I had to be in cottonwood by a certain time to get my uhaul and all my belongings. Mind you I also had a bunch of groceries I wanted to drop off before I did the drive to cottonwood and then back to Flagstaff. All my food went bad (around $400) since it all had to sit in my car for that turn around trip. Finally got a call back when I was pulling into cottonwood for them to tell me the correct address to drop off payment and the key code, and got in. Discovered they had a shed out back. The next day texted and asked if I could use it. Was told yes let me get you a key. Followed up about the key few days later and was told they are still trying to find it. Contacted again on the 30th of December was told oh we found it let me put it in the mail box today for you. Ok great. At that point also said I would like to switch my renters insurance to their master policy. Was told that day that within a few days they would be getting a new insurance company and they will contact me with that information. Never did. Reached out January 1st, about my keys and the insurance. Was told I'm sorry dropped the ball on the keys and now somehow they have to order them. So I guess I was lied to about them even attempting to send them in the mail. Asked me to take a picture of the shed to order new keys. Was then contacted by email about switching insurance. Signed everything and then got an email saying they need to confirm I canceled my insurance first before they can add me. I again stated multiple times that I canceled my insurance on the 1st. They finally added me on to their insurance on the 8th of January . Was told send a picture of the lock on January 8th to get the key resolved. Was told "thank you". February 17 I reached out again about the key. Was told I thought I sent it in the mail and to let him check. That was two days ago and again zero communication. I have been here for 4 and a half months and still have not been able to fully move in. I have boxes with my belongs stuff where my washer/dryer should go and my Christmas tree box in my living room. When we moved in the floors were new and it looks like they painted. The bathrooms were disgusting. The bathtub I had to deep clean for 3 days just so my kid could take a bath. I put in a work order that in my 4 year olds bedroom the light smells like it's on fire. Was told they would send someone out. Multiple days went by before they finally three-way called me to have someone look at it. Still took multiple days to even have someone look at it. Was told I needed to switch out the light bulbs for the 3rd time. My kid just doesn't play in his room at night. The communication is so incredibly horrible. They say they will do something and never do it. Say they will check on something they never do. Id give it zero stars if I could.
I had the pleasure of working with Pat Rose for the purchase of a condo for my daughter. She was very diligent during and after the purchase. She explained everything in detail with possible scenarios when bidding. We finally went under contract after 4 tries, but we think we got the best unit, price and location in relation to NAU and my daughter’s job. Pat Rose was able to coordinate the retrieval of a washer that was inadvertently removed from the condo unit. She also negotiated multiple date changes for close of escrow and inspections from the seller. Do hesitate to reach out to her.
We have worked with Mike Fischenich from RE/MAX Fine Properties both buying and selling properties. He is extremely knowledgeable about the market, realistic about setting prices, and flexible if there needs to be a change. He is a good listener and understood our needs. We had a few unusual hiccups in our last sale but Mike was able to find workable solutions. Add to that, he is a super nice guy and fun to work with. My husband and highly recommend Mike and RE/MAX Fine Properties!
