He has been a blessing from start so I can imagine the blessing he'll be in the end. His law firm has helped me not only with criminal representation but also custody and visitation representation. Kind courteous but also believes in the truth and the truth being revealed. He fights hard for his client! I know he's fought hard for me. All the while keeping the best interest of my children and myself and other parties involved all in his best interest. There aren't too many lawyers that can do that. He is one of the good ones.

Too bad I can't choose 0 stars. My now husband retained Dustan Abshire for his divorce as recommended by his criminal defense attorney, David Lorenzo. Dustan had him sign a protective order not explaining to him that if he signed it this meant he was admitting to having abused his then wife and/or kids per false allegations made by her the night he threatened to take his own life when he found out she was having an affair and everyone knew but him. This resulted in him not seeing his children for almost 3 years! When he no longer chose to use him, Dustan told him he wouldn't be able to get his divorce finalized without paying him more money. Divorce was finalized thru another attorney and no more was paid to Dustan. My husband maintained that he felt like Dustan only represented those he chose to help. He felt like he had marked him guilty from their first meeting and didn't bother to get to know him as a father or who he was. Felony charges were reduced to misdemeanors due to lack of evidence and truths! Lorenzo was no help either!

Terrible custody attorney. Please don’t waste your money or time on him. Not communicative at all - the whole time I had no clue what was going on. Couldn’t get an appointment to see him face to face and couldn’t even get a phone call from him. His staff isn’t friendly at all and barely does their own jobs because they are too busy jumping through hoops to do his. Doesn’t do anything he says he will, he talked a good game to get his money then didn’t do what he promised. Was WAY too friendly with the opposing attorney. Not an aggressive fighter at all, was more concerned about political gain and making friends.

My family used Mr. Abshire for a child abuse/ custody battle. He was AWEFUL DO NOT USE HIM FOR THAT! This attorney dragged his feet and was terrible at communication. The case that was given 2 days was over by noon because he did not do ANYTHING he said he was going to. He gets way to friendly with the other attorney and does what’s easy not whats right. Not only was money wasted on hiring him but all the subpoenas he was supposed to use but didn’t as well. If you’re looking for a shark in the courthouse HES NOT THE ONE. Do yourself a favor and do not waist your money on a guppy

Never thought I would ever have to file for a divorce. Mr. Abshire was a recommendation when the time came. And I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He was and is the absolute best. He fought for me and my little boy. Not once did he make me feel like I wasn’t worth his time. I tell everyone I know how blessed I am to have him on my side. Thank you for all your hard work and your staff as well.

So far this is by far the best attorney I've had.

Absolutely the worst attorney in SWLA... Do not hire this incompetent firm.
