I cannot recommend Nesenoff & Miltenberg highly enough. After receiving a referral from a close friend, I knew from the first consultation that I was in excellent hands. My attorney demonstrated exceptional professionalism and expertise throughout the entire process. They took time to genuinely understand my situation and explained every step in terms I could understand. If you're looking for legal representation that combines knowledge, efficiency, and genuine care for clients, I wholeheartedly recommend this firm. I'm grateful for the outstanding work they did on my behalf and the outcome achieved.
If you ever are in the unfortunate position of requiring the type of representation that Nesenoff & Miltenberg provides, I would do nothing other than to highly recommend this firm. Throughout an incredibly difficult 16 months, N & M - and in particular Stuart Bernstein, who was incredible at navigating a pathway forward and keeping me from periodically going insane - provided the guidance and aggressive legal strategy that figuratively turned the tables in my situation. There were multiple occasions that I wanted to resign myself to whatever outcome and Stuart was always present to reassure me and forge ahead. Stuart is intelligent, unwavering, incredibly responsive, and will not be pushed around. I also worked with Kristen Mohr, who was fantastic with much of the "behind the scenes" grunt work. Ultimately, I ended up with a very favorable comprehensive settlement, including a financial component that allowed me to move forward and put the transgressions of others behind. I am confident in stating that N & M is the leading firm in this area of practice and almost assuredly I would not have achieved the same result without Andrew, Stuart, and this team leading the way.
I worked with Regina Federico at Nesenoff & Miltenberg LLP on an academic misconduct allegation at my undergraduate university. After an initial finding of Responsible, Regina never gave up on me, and she helped me to build a thoughtful and strategic appeal that led to the decision being overturned to Not Responsible. Throughout this process, she was so compassionate, responsive, and thorough. She made sure I understood each step, believed in my being innocent, and fought tirelessly to make sure I was found not responsible. I will forever be grateful for her professionalism and dedication to my case. Because of her, I will continue on to medical school and become a physician. I highly recommend this firm to any student navigating an academic misconduct case!
She was terribly rude and dismissive during our consultation, and was unwilling to hear about my case in its entirety. Very egotistical and bitchy. Not someone who truly cares about the work they're doing or about truly aiding other people with sincerity. Nasty service. If I could rate her 0 stars, I would. Don't waste your time or energy; they're too valuable.
I had contacted several attorneys regarding my case, and I knew the moment that I spoke to Marybeth from Nesenoff & Miltenberg that she was the advocate who I wanted in my corner. Marybeth (and the entire firm) was responsive, efficient, empathetic, and had the expertise that I needed. She turned my anxiety into peace of mind instantly and consistently. If you want an advocate who will listen to you, explain the process clearly, and provide you with expertise and guidance, Marybeth at Nesenoff and Miltenberg is the best!!!
If you are looking for a responsive and professional law firm, look no further than Nesenoff & Miltenberg Law Firm. Within 2 hours, to my surprise, I received a call back from Regina Federico. She provided me with a timely consultation with advice on how to proceed. From her affordable services, to her timely response, Regina Federico made my entire experience with Nesenoff & Miltenberg Law Firm incredible. She was extremely responsive and reassured me throughout the whole process. I was never once left wondering where I stood in the progress of my case. also worked tirelessly on a holiday weekend and thanks to her I achieve a desirable outcome in my case.
On 01/08/25, at approximately 11:14 AM, I contacted the Nesenoff & Miltenberg law firm in NY and spoke with Sofia. Having worked in the legal field previously, I can confidently say this was the most unprofessional and dismissive experience I have ever encountered with someone representing a law firm. As the first point of contact for the firm, Sofia's demeanor was highly inappropriate, especially given the delicate nature of legal matters people often call about. I initially called to discuss an employment case that potentially involved defamation and possibly criminal elements concerning a profitable business in which I am an 11% owner (I am the accuser, not the defendant). Sofia immediately interrupted me, saying, "We don’t handle criminal matters." I clarified that I wasn’t sure if my case could be escalated to criminal proceedings, which was why I was seeking legal advice—particularly regarding the employment aspect, which was the root of the issue. Her tone remained dismissive, and she asked, "Okay, what is your case?" As I resumed describing my situation, she interrupted again to ask a question I had just addressed—about my role in the company and what I do for work. While I was in the middle of answering, she interrupted once more and put me on hold without warning. When she returned, I politely asked, "May I ask who I have the pleasure of speaking with?" She replied, "I’ve been with this law firm for over 30 years, and my name is Sofia." I thanked her and asked if I should continue explaining my case or if she had any other specific questions. She replied, "Keep going." I resumed describing my situation, including the fact that I had video evidence of my partner and former boss plotting to harm me as a way to remove me from the company. To my disbelief, she laughed and said, "Yeah, we don’t take these types of cases." Shocked, I asked, "Is this really funny? This is an extremely serious situation for me," she hung up on me immediately. Appalled, I called back to address her unprofessionalism, expressing how awful her behavior made me feel and asking to speak with a manager or supervisor. She hung up again without explanation. Determined to escalate the issue, I called back several more times, but she would pick up and immediately hang up. As someone who has worked with outstanding attorneys, paralegals, and intake staff in the past, I know this level of disrespect and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. Even if a law firm cannot take a case, basic courtesy and professionalism should always be extended. No one should be treated this way, especially when reaching out about sensitive, personal legal matters. The behavior I encountered not only reflects poorly on Sofia but tarnishes the reputation of the entire firm. It is unacceptable for anyone in a legal practice to treat prospective clients—or anyone—this way.
