The fact of the matter is you were paid to be unbiased. You WEREN’T. You IGNORED my warnings. You GASLIT me. You turned ME into the bad guy when I told you what kind of vile individual that woman was behind closed doors. Don’t lie and act like you played no part. If GALs didn’t play a massive part in the court’s decisions COURTS WOULD NOT REQUIRE US TO HAVE THEM OR HAVE THE GAL GIVE THEIR OPINION. You are part of the toxic system that RUINED ten years of my life and landed my son with a traumatic brain injury and you played a major role. Don’t be disingenuous and say otherwise. You and the rest of the system owe me and my children an apology. Full stop.

Stop deleting my review. This man was guarding and light him in my case a decade ago. He placed my children with a woman I told them over and over was spiteful on a dangerous level. It ended with the woman he placed them with refusing to give my son a ride home knowing he would have to cross dangerous roads purely out of spite. He got hit by a vehicle, life lighted and spent five days in a trauma unit with a broken leg and a brain bleed. Stop deleting my review. Take accountability for your actions, James!

Mr. Brightbill was assigned as the Guardian Ad Litem for my children during my divorce case. The whole process is very emotional for the parent, but I am very impressed with Mr Brightbill. He listens, he is very thorough and truly does have the best interest for the children. I have two children who are special needs and he was wonderful with my children when he met them. My advice for any parent reading this is to hang in there, the process is not quick and is not easy, but you are in good hands with Mr. Brightbill.

I hired him during a custody issue. All I have to say is beware this man will not help you . My daughter was taken out of state and alienated from me during our custody battle while he never called back , never filed the paper work he said he was going to do , he even went so far to charge me for a draft motion he never sent . This man should have his law license evaluated under Ethics.

In my opinion, very uninvolved. Didn’t return multiple phone calls. I would not recommend to anyone. In my opinion, did not fight for what was wanted. In my opinion, just there to collect a paycheck. I would recommend looking else where for an attorney. Was court appointed in my case - if he is appointed in your case, I would recommend requesting someone else.

As a GAL... Mr. Brightbill served our family as a GAL twice now. While I may not always emotionally agree with him, he has made the appropriate "best interest" recommendation for my children each time that he has been involved with us. I am grateful for that.

Jim does a fantastic job! If you need any legal matters taken care of I would 100% recommend! He really knows what he is doing and will always do things in your best interests!
