Our experience with Swati Desai was amazing. Over the course of about a year, she walked us through the most painful experience of our lives (almost loosing our children) with empathy and with professionalism. I can honestly say that every time I think of Swati I don't remember the court room, in which I was completely stressed and she was phenomenal, or the money, which, after a year, you can imagine was significant (and completely worth every penny), instead I remember how much she cared, and how happy she was when our family was kept together.

After spending A LOT of money on 3 previous family law attorneys and getting no where we were referred to Rita Liu and are so happy to this day that we were. The hardest thing I have dealt with in my life is looking into the eyes of a planned child who has been abandoned by his biological father. The second hardest was having to exercise court intervention, after trying to avoid that route at all cost, because he resisted assuming the bare minimum responsibility of paying full child support for our child. Because she has been in the business for over 10 years, she has too much of a case load and if your case isn't important enough to her she won't pay attention to it. Time will fly by, your retainer will get exhausted and she will keep asking you for more money and the next thing you know, your case has barely moved forward. She also will not show up to court for your case and will send her paralegal instead She had royally messed up by not turning in some very important paperwork to court prior to my court hearing and she wouldn't even admit it was her fault. She was so arrogant that she said she refused to file that type of paperwork claiming she had never done it in the past and refuses to do it now. She cuts corners and you end up being the victim. My case got taken off calender because of her negligence. Yes, she gave me back my retainer, because she knew I would go to the State Bar but how do I get all of those months back? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND EFFORT!!
