My experience with Jacob was horrible. Do not hire him! A family lawyer is supposed to help you through a tough time and he made it so much more difficult. Lazy does the least work possible and does not care about your family. Everything was done last second or basically by me. And he has attitude like he is a good attorney, which is laughable. He does not do his job and you are basically left representing yourself! Believe all the negative reviews and stay away from Montford family law. Thanks Jacob

Alex Gomes helped me by creating a separation agreement. He was thorough and careful and kind and helpful to me. I would definitely use his services again for anything related to family law. Most amazingly, when it came time to file for divorce, Alex suggested that I could either pay him the few hundred dollars or I could follow the link to the Buncombe County Bar Association that he provided, and do the legwork myself, since I had an uncomplicated situation. (I did choose to do the latter.) I really appreciate Alex Gomes, and everyone else in his office was a pleasure to work with as well. Finally, this isn't relevant to the question of practicing law, but Montford Family Law is in a fantastically, well-preserved 19th century house, and I always enjoyed being in that space. Much easier parking than downtown as well.
