Cordell & Cordell | Family Law & Divorce

I was referred to Cordell & Cordell by a family friend. After a consultation, I was happy to move forward with Chip because he understood the complexities of my divorce case and had good strategies for how to approach it. Chip understands the biases in the legal system and was excellent at handling the nuance that was needed for my case. He was excellent during the trial, especially when asking critical questions during the witness testimonies. He prepares well for the hearings and has a keen eye going over legal documents and ensuring that definitions are specific and advantageous. He has good ideas for different strategies and the likely outcomes for each and keeps track of things I mentioned were important to me. On top of being a good family lawyer, Chip is also compassionate and caring as his clients deal with a difficult time in life. I'm glad I had Chip Adkins to help me with my divorce and custody.

Absolutely horrible law firm to work with. They charged me almost 10k for my divorce, they were great in selling me their service at the consultation but when it came down to actually working on my divorce the only communication that they would have with me was to inform me, they need me to pay more money. I received a call from their accounting department 1 month into my case stating I owed 3k, when I asked for what nothing had been done or communicated. Their response was to check my invoice, which showed only their interns doing paper work. When I spoke to the lawyer I was working with, He informed me he would talk with my ex so that we could come to a settlement then would get the paper work drafted up for us to sign. I then didn't hear from them for another month, even with me sending countless emails asking about an update in my case. When they did finally respond it was to demand more money but had done nothing to finalize my divorce. Would never recommend/refer anyone to use them. Unless you like to waste money and have no communication from the lawyers.

I have a close friend of mine that has used this company for divorce and estate separation and it is God awful what this company has done to him, these people are horrible attorneys in particular Chip in the Boise office. Very unprofessional I would not recommend these people to anyone. Talk about defamation of character. DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM.

Amazing law firm! I felt like I was in a complete loss with my case before I hired them. Jack Wagner was able to help me fight for my kids and get me a great custody deal. It was a lengthy process and like any good law firm it can be expensive but it was worth every penny. Now I can go on knowing that I have the opportunity to be by my kids and watch them grow. I would recommend this firm to any father who is willing to do everything they can to fight for their kids. Thank you Jack Wagner. I appreciate all the help!

While I agree with the sentiment that it seems the lawyers at Cordell & Cordell are a quite overworked(as in they are sometimes not as available as you might like), I haven't missed a deadline yet so they do get the job done. Cordell and Cordell gets a rating of 3 and my lawyer gets a rating of 5 so that's why 4 overall. Chip Adkins is my lawyer and he has been phenomenal every time I've had the chance to speak with him. Knowledgeable, straight shooter, concise, has my back. While my case is ongoing at the moment and nothing is guaranteed in this life, I'm extremely grateful that Chip is on my team. He has guided me away from "landmines" and has been on top of finding ways to increase the odds of success in my case! If you need help with divorce, try to work it out for a few more months so Chip can focus on me, then he's all yours. 😉
