I did not have a good experience with this firm. I had a high conflict divorce that dragged on for well over a year. I was advised that mediation would not be best. When it came time for trial, they asked for $70,000 for retainer fee. This is on top of the tens of thousands of dollars I spent leading up to the trial with very little progress made. When I told them I could not pay that and would be switching firms, the lawyer I was working with became antagonistic. I felt this amount was exploitative and taking advantage of someone at a very vulnerable and painful time in their life. I switched firms and I was able to resolve my case for a fraction of what they had asked for.

Denise Mirman advised me in the time-sharing case for my child, and if you want the best, look no further. Denise has seen cases from so many angles over so many years, and this makes all the difference when it comes to making intelligent and effective decisions with your case. Denise is detail-oriented and responsive. In something as personal as family law, it's reassuring to know that your attorney values your case so strongly and faithfully. You will also find that she has the perfect pitch of being caring and patient but also direct and assertive. She will calm your nerves and get the job done. I recommend Denise highly!

They were there to calm my nerves multiple times while being direct and assertive with opposing counsel at the same time. They lawyers here are great. My husband and I dealt with them for a custody issue. They came highly recommended from other lawyers who work with a friend of ours (13 of the 20 recommendations he received for us were for this firm). We worked with Erin and Rob and both of them were awesome at answering my questions and putting our anxieties at ease. Thanks to their work, my husband's daughter (My stepdaughter) is safe and protected with us! I don't know what the reviewer before is unhappy about but in our experience, these guys know what they are doing and are very good at their job! I am so glad we sought them to represent us. I will say it isn't cheap but when it comes to lawyers, the old adage of you get what you pay for is true! They are the best!

This firm just wants the money with minimal to no efforts and I experienced the same treatment as the three people listed above. My case was for custody of my child, as they are being abused in the other home. I would steer clear of this firm for this type of case. The appointed attorney , Willie, didn’t represent me appropriately for Scott and I am now in a worse spot than when I retained them. They like to settle things without reading what the opposition wrote and want you to sign it. Let’s not forget the minimal to no effort from the beginning as mentioned above. Stretching things to entice you to settle due to their unpreparedness of the case, because of the minimal effort. I had to tell Willie that what was written is wrong multiple times. So obviously wrong, I saw it! I gave them an opportunity to fix things, but as the previous reviews state below, they will ignore you or ask for another retainer to talk about it. A Sad And True Fact. I hope this review saves whomever reads this, tens of thousands of dollars.

I have found Friedman & Mirman to be attentive & responsive to my family's needs. Denise Mirman represented me over a child support issue several years ago. Denise took all of worries away as she was handling them on my behalf, and did so successfully! When I have needed to work with other attorneys at the firm, I have always found them to be responsive and capable. I highly recommend this law firm! They are the Best Lawyers of America!

Denise Mirman, Heather Sobel and Team did an awesome job bringing my spousal support situation to closure. This was a huge burden since I retired last June and no longer drawing a salary. I was prepared for this to be a cumbersome process but Denise and Heather exceeded my expectations and delivered results by year end.
