I worked with this law firm for three years and made almost no progress on my divorce during that entire time. Communication was terrible — calls went straight to voicemail, and emails were rarely answered. It often felt like their priority was bringing in new clients rather than supporting the ones they already had. Over the years, I’ve provided the same documents multiple times, yet they continued asking for them as if nothing had been received. There was absolutely no planning or organization. Whenever something was due, they would reach out last minute expecting same-day submissions, signatures, or responses — with no regard for the time it takes to print, review, and sign important paperwork. Everything was handled rushed, unprofessionally, and without care. As a single mom, I trusted this firm to help me navigate a difficult process and gave them three years of my time, effort, and resources. Instead, I’ve been left drained — emotionally and financially. They know the position I’m in, yet they’re now holding funds in trust and leaving me completely on my own to figure things out after everything I’ve invested. Billing has been equally disappointing. Fees were inconsistent and inflated, and despite several attempts to contact the billing department, I rarely received any response. Even when there were funds available in my account, the firm failed to respond to the opposing party, causing unnecessary court escalation and more charges. I’ve truly given this firm my blood, sweat, and tears — only to be left high and dry. There is a serious lack of communication, organization, and integrity here. I would not recommend this firm to anyone looking for reliable, responsive, or ethical representation.

I don’t think you’ll find a better family attorney in the Bay Area. Tiffany is extremely knowledgeable especially with military cases. She’s a bombshell in court and is very good at presenting facts and situations to accurately represent the situation. There have been a few timing issues due to caseload changes etc. but communication seems to be working well and as long as we stay on top of our dates we don’t have any issues. If you’re considering TLA law firm just remember it’s YOUR case. You can’t just set it and forget it. The more you participate and cooperate the better.

Tiffany made an impressive sales pitch at the start, especially after her associate, Taryn, left the firm. She claimed extensive experience with military divorces, but my experience proved otherwise. I hired her specifically to ensure my military spouse benefits were included in the Marital Settlement Agreement (MSA). In just four months, I paid her $20,000—yet she never completed this task. Despite my sending detailed lists of benefits, she repeatedly acted as though she didn’t understand and focused instead on irrelevant matters, such as closed credit card accounts. She sent paperwork without reviewing it with me, and some contained incorrect information. I provided all necessary documents, only to be asked to resend them months later. Whenever I raised concerns, she offered excuses, not solutions. She was unavailable for some hearings, leading to delays and repeated extensions. When I lost access to my children after 14 years as a stay-at-home mom, I urgently asked her to file an emergency custody motion. She told me it couldn’t be done. During this time, my ex was setting unrealistic rules for visitation—offering me only an hour with our children at a time—yet she still failed to get me visitations. As a result, I went nine months without seeing our children. I had to represent myself in court, maxed out my credit cards, and had no access to marital assets. It was overwhelming and devastating. In the end, she demanded another $30,000 to prepare for trial, file the custody motion, and finalize my divorce—despite making no real progress. Her approach felt more focused on billing than on results. Hiring Tiffany Andrews was an expensive and painful mistake. I cannot recommend her, especially for cases involving military benefits or custody issues.

Although Tiffany was pleasant to work with, our overall assessment is that the services provided were average. We were disappointed that we never had the opportunity to meet her in person, despite multiple trips to her office. During our case, we couldn't help but notice that the handling of our mediation proceedings resembled that of a general contractor overseeing a construction project. We encountered unexpected changes in Tiffany's team, with members coming and going without prior notice. This lack of consistency had a noticeable impact on the process and left us feeling unsettled. Another area of concern was the significant disparity between our original cost estimate and the final bill. The cost nearly doubled, which was unexpected and disappointing. Our mediation and divorce proceedings were minimal in complexity, as stated by Tiffany herself. Considering the simplicity of the case, we had hoped for more streamlined and cost-effective services. Throughout the process, there were instances where communication and continuity seemed lacking. We often had to repeat information from one meeting to the next, resulting in frustration and delays. It would have been more efficient and productive if there had been better coordination and a stronger sense of continuity between sessions. In summary, while Tiffany Andrews and her team were pleasant to work with, there are clear areas for improvement.
