Marx, Altman & Johnson

Today I was told by Richard Johnson ( an attorney at Marx, Altman, & Johnson), to shove my comments. After having told him that I was going write bad reviews. This behavior was very inappropriate. I highly encourage the public to look elsewhere for better service and respect. Eventhough, they have a payment plan, I would rather be respected than to be humiliated. This incident happened today December 18, 2012. Gente hispana, quisiera que consiguieran servicios legales en otros sitios. Despues de ser humillado esta manana por el abogado Richard Johnson, me falto el respeto y ese tipo de comportamiento no es aceptado. Le dije que no estaba de acuerdo con el servicio y que iba dejar comentarios sobre el servicio en la red, y me dijo "mete tus comentarios donde te quepan. En serio, que falta de respeto para una persona que segun estudio 10 anos de leyes. Nomas porque uno es mexicano, quieren pisar arriba de uno. Es por eso que anote este comentario aqui para que vean y les digan a la raza.

$3500 for help with a child support case. Was told one thing by Robert Johnson then went to court with an attorney he assigned to my case, and now I have to sell my house because my child support is more than my mortgage because apparently these attorneys don't know how to read a check stub. All they could say at the end was well that's the law. Could've gone by myself and saved the $3500 to get this outcome. Thanks for nothing

After reviewing all the Google Comments I must say my experience was the complete opposite. I paid all fee's upfront for my Divorce and I knew exactly what I expected and wanted and I reached out to them to make sure I had the service I paid for. With all the clients they have, sometimes you have to reach out to them as well people. Above all they were very professional and gave me a great rate and took so much pressure off me as I have been wanting this Divorce for so long. They came highly recommended from my family at the district attorney office. It was a quick easy divorce and I couldn't be more happier and added bonus I also have the house!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! Before you listen to the bad reviews give Marx, Altman & Johnson a try trust me they will aim for success!!

I feel this law firm delivers exactly what it promises. During my consultation it was clearly explained to me that the low fee quoted only applies if the case remains uncontested. (If my husband decides to hire a lawyer the fee would automatically be over $2000 more.) I was given realistic expectations for timelines, including turnaround on phone calls, etc. You get what you pay for, it's as simple as that. If you have an uncontested case and follow instructions, they make the process easy and painless. If you have a complicated or contested situation, that will take more time, energy, and effort and therefore more money. If you need someone to hold your hand through the process, and require lots of one-on-one, you must be prepared to pay for that level of service AND I would recommend you find a different firm. This law firm is set up to process easy/typical cases in large volume. If you have your ducks in a row and just want a lawyer to process the paperwork, this is a good option.

My experience with this law firm was enjoyable. My lawyer was knowledgeable and very understanding of the special accommodations my family required. My ex-husband contested every aspect of our divorce and still my lawyer fought to make sure that my children and I received everything that we needed. I highly recommend using this firm.

I originally hired this firm in August of 2014 and they assisted me with my divorce of 20 years. I was so happy with the outcome and they did what they said they would. I needed them after the divorce for a enforcement of the decree and hired them August 2017. JR Obrien was my attorney and he was professional, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. I was skeptical because he was always reserved in court proceedings. But, when it came to the final hearing and how I saw him fight for me and allow me to speak up it amazed me. He didn't have much to fight for, but he fought for what I was agreeing to settle for. he handled my case with care and I will use him again and recommend this form to anyone. I am happy with the results for my case.
