I couple months ago forgot to put my new vehicle insurance card in my card, which resulted in me getting a "no motor vehicle insurance policy" ticket. Speaking with the officer, she said it was not a big deal, and to show proof when I can. There was no fine or court date on my ticket, so I didn't think it was urgent and sort of forgot about the ticket. Whoops! Now let's fast forward to the present. I recently lost my drivers license and needed a new one since I was leaving for a trip that required me to rent a car. I go to the DMV to get a duplicate only to find out my license is flagged, and I had a bench warrant. What the heck?! It turns out the officer added a court date afterwards, which I was unaware of, and of course didn't show up for. I was stressed and needed this issue solved promptly as I only had 2 days till I left for my trip. Thankfully Attorney Burks was able to calm me down, and assured me he will resolve this issue before I left. In two days, he was able to reschedule my heading, and got my case dismissed. Hallelujah!
