Honestly had such high hopes based on reviews but so disappointed. Complete waste of time and money. Scheduled intro session then met in person for what was supposed to be a "4 hour strategy session". Steinberger was completely unprepared, lectured me the whole time, answered none of my questions kept me there way past 4 hours (and of course charged) I literally excused myself by 7PM and he was still talking. Left feeling so confused, frustrated COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Sorry but with all the great reviews I really had a different impression of him. Spoke about himself most of the time. I got nothing out of my paid strategy session except boring lectures and personal stories. Runnnnn

He was very inpatient, barley let me speak, then he told me he’s not making any money off of me and my case has no validity, but when I explained the courts have claimed that I am working, but I am not, that alone has validity, as well as me being denied my own right to attend my hearing as well as the Court’s miscalculated both me and my ex’s income. I didn’t have a good experience at all

Of the many divorce lawyers I emailed or left messages for, only Chaim and one other lawyer responded to me immediately. Even more impressive was Chaim's consideration to allow a client he has never seen or heard of before, take up his hard working time just to offer a free 20-minute consultation almost instantaneously with no drama or long waiting times. For me things went from great to amazing when Chaim selflessly doubled his consultation time just because of his true care for another human being's difficulties regardless of what the outcome might be. I actually felt for the first time that there is someone out there who really understood me, and was able to contextualize what I have been struggling to explain all this time. The feeling was amplified when I heard Chaim using his vast knowledge of law to understand, guide and direct me "a potential client" of what I can expect due to my divorce crossing into international territory, of which no words can describe how relived this made me feel, and how much it was appreciated. I would even like to make a shout-out to his administrative personnel who were also so professional, kind & friendly which shocked me, because I am not accustomed to this politeness from anyone in NY. I never leave reviews but this attorney warranted my gratitude and respect. I called for a simple free consultation regarding my child support matter and Chaim went well over his time frame with me to address every major issue in my case. He is a no nonsense attorney, full of wisdom, strategic planning and wealth of knowledge.
