I had a good experience with Kit Peterson as a mediator. I had a bad experience with Jan Meadows as a Parenting Coordinator.

Ms. Kit, is professional, ethical, smart, savy and eleoquent in navigation of difficult issues. She knows the law, reads people well and is a great solution compared to costly litigation. She has a wealth of experience in a variety of legal settings. Her expertise in the court room leads her to being an award winning ligitation expert that gets to an effective resolution. Would highly recommend Ms. Kit to anyone to before going to court.

I will never in my life understand how Kit Peterson gets away with the way she treats people. Extremely condescending, no understanding of the issues at hand, raised her voice, talked over people and told a person whose name she mispronounced she should "consider using the mispronunciation because it was unique," with no hint of irony. My family suggested and paid for mediation, and at the very least, expected professional courtesy and to be heard out. What we received was a threat that if we did not agree to what she was demanding, that ultimately our case would be in jeopardy. Who lost? The children. I would not recommend this firm to my worst enemy.

Virginia Henson was hired as a GAL for a custody dispute. Her report was one sided and cost 8,000. She did no home visits and spoke to me for only 20 minutes. Final GAL report has items from the beginning when she started but nothing for several months. She threatened to withdraw and not give report. The report is unedited and unusually short. Unhelpful in situation I was in, disappointed with report because it has several grammatical and other unprofessional errors. Many times she didn't open or respond to emails. Twenty years is a long time to be in the business, she seems burned out.

I was very unsatisfied. Very condescending remarks that were outside of the issues at hand and did not care about what is best for the child, just wanted an agreement to keep her percentage of resolutions up. Please do your research on mediators before choosing Petersen. I would not recommend anyone use her services.

Used Kit for my custody battle. She is incredibly knowledgeable and is a shark whem she needs to be. Very ethical.

Very nice people work here the receptionist is always nice and informative and the GAL Justin Conway is great to our children and listens to all of their questions and concerns.
