Don't waste your money. The defendant in our case paid 5k total, I paid almost 30k with Cordell and Cordell. total time was about 8-9 months. It was a simple DNA/custody dispute. If the child ended up being mine, I was seeking 50/50 custody, no child support. Met with Jared the senior lawyer on the case, he assigned me a junior lawyer to handle the case. After a few weeks of dealing with Samantha, it was clear that she had no interest in representing my interests. She spent more time defending the defense than she did working on my case and crafting my docs. I often times had to proofread her work and let her know that we were the plaintiff, not the defendant. I let Jared know that I was not happy with this junior lawyer, no response. We went to trial for the temp custody hearing, in our temp hearing the defendant was awarded full custody with full child support for an undetermined amount of time. I got 1 day a week visitation and every other weekend with severe restrictions. At this point, because she got everything she asked for, the defendant refused to mediate or settle... after about 6 months of paying my lawyer, full child support, and all fees... We went to trial, the judge was ready to rule in our favor and award us 50/50 custody, with all legal fees paid by the defendant, Samantha encouraged me to settle the case before we went through the whole trial process. I agreed with the understanding that the defendant was to pay all legal fees, but when the judge read the agreement back Samantha had waived that part of it for the defendant... How is that representing my best interests? My mistake was not stopping it at trial. However, I thought my lawyer was working for me. In hindsight, she was not. I am sure that my lawyer was either scared of the defense, auditioning for a job at the defendant's law firm, or just had no interest in the case and it showed. Oh and don't bother calling customer support. They just call your lawyer and tell your lawyer to justify their fees. Even when it's a double bill, or 8 hours of time when the trial/prep was 1.5 hours.

I initially reached out to this firm because they advertised as a father’s rights law office. After retaining a female attorney name Samantha for $2500 I thought I made a great decision, and it would lead me to a positive outcome in my custody case. After a year of fighting for my kids and attempting mediation and $10,000 later, I was financially forced into finding a different attorney because we were making no progress and the charges kept coming. They bill me to this day for over $5000 and they ad interest every time. Extremely greedy law firm that has anything but a fathers rights to his children in mind, but rather their bank account. I retained a new attorney who informed me that for the money I spent with Samantha at Cordell and Cordell, There should have been significant changes in regards to my custody and visitation with my kids and there was none. Samantha had information she chose not to inform me on, so I could attempt things on my own accord to help my case. I can only speak from my encounter with Samantha at that law office, but they charge for every phone call or every email or every piece of information that needs to be communicated to you. They also take advantage of the fact you’re ignorant to the law. If you are a man who has a great case in his favor for custody of his children, reach out to an attorney, who is a man, so he understands where you’re coming from and that’s my first piece of advice. .

Nebraska Legal Group handled my divorce in 2016. Hired Cordell and Cordell in 2023 because ex wife said I did not pay her my VA disability in an affidavit. In last court date, my ex wife admitted to committing perjury twice in that affidavit and I still lost. My ex wife moved 3 times during my military career vice my 17 times. Bottom line, she got 50% of military pension, 50% of my VA Disability Pay (CRDP) and 100% of my GI Bill. Not bad for her. This is how Nebraska and this country treats their Veterans. God Bless America anyway!

Save your money and your time. I cannot believe a law firm that advocates fathers rights could be so criminal. They extort money from people trying to right a wrong. They definitely do not have a clients best interest at hand. I had used this legal team once before for a false protection order, and was cleared with ease. The attorney at that time did wonderful, and that is why I came back for my divorce and custody. What a huge mistake that was. My new attorney must have been fresh out of law school with no true prior trial experience. She was a wet noodle in front of the judge and did not prepare me at all with what to expect. I had some form of an idea, but nothing prepared me for what really happened. My attorney, basically was working for the other team. My ex-wife got everything she wanted with NO legal representation at all. I only wanted what was best for my kids, no more overnights with her or her felon fiance. Cordell & Cordell preach a good game, but after 27k and a year of this nonsense, I ended up with an empty house, the kids still had to do overnights, and the ex wife is continuing to make our lives hell. Just save your money and your time, and continue looking elsewhere, because Cordell & Cordell definitely will only extort you of every cent!

I am quite satisfied with my experience(s) with Cordell and Cordell. My lawyer, Bradley Marsicek, is a straight shooter! He never sugar coated information, nor did he ever stroke my ego. He prepared me for the worse, maintained a solid strategy, and adjusted on the fly quickly to stay ahead of any issues as they arose. The entire staff that I was able to work with was amazing. The secretaries were friendly and my messages were returned promptly. They payed attention to my communication preferences and thus our correspondences were prompt and concise. Even the financing department was helpful, clearly able to explain any and all charges, and worked with me to ensure I knew all my payment options. You get what you pay for, and I gotten the best. I am very satisfied with my experience.

They were very professional. My lawyer Samantha Miller went above and beyond to meet my needs and calm my anxiety. She always gave me the truth which I really appreciate. I would recommend the firm and specifically Samantha to anybody. So why the 4 stars? I took off a star due to the post decree experience. After the judge signed the divorce decree, I was asked if it is ok to close my case. I agreed. The only problem with this is closing a case means that the lawyer no longer helps or represents me anymore. So let's say my ex does not follow the decree, my lawyer can not help me any longer until I do the following 1) Pay off my lawyer bill 2) start the whole process over (meaning they treat you like a new client and have you meet with another lawyer for a consultation meeting). I did not understand prior to closing the case what it meant. Honestly I would not have agreed to close my case if I knew I had to pay the large bill and start over. My ex is not following the decree and I just wanted my lawyer to be on call to contact her lawyer so my ex knows I am serious about following the decree. Again I would still go with Cordell and Samantha again without hesitation.
