This attorney acted as the administrative hearing officer in a CPS appeal and was hired by CPS to serve as a "neutral" decision-maker. There was nothing neutral about this process. He instructed me to submit evidence by email 48 hours before the hearing. I did exactly that. During the hearing, he stated that he would not open, read, or consider the evidence at all. Ordering evidence and then refusing to review it is not neutrality—it’s a sham. The Zoom hearing had to be paused multiple times so he could step away and look up the applicable laws during the proceeding. An administrative hearing officer who needs to research basic law mid-hearing should not be presiding over anyone’s rights. The entire process felt one-sided, dismissive, and procedurally unfair, reinforcing the obvious conflict of interest when CPS selects and pays the person judging the appeal. This was not a fair hearing—it was a rubber stamp.

Started off professional, confident, and promising. But that was just at the start. Soon enough communication got cut back and I was dropped after court made a decision. Not a good feeling.
