I cannot recommend Thomas McDow and Erin Urquhart enough. Erin and Thomas have represented me in a highly contentious, lengthy, and complex custody case. The case has involved numerous court appearances, among other things. Erin and Thomas (as well as their staff) have gone above and beyond what any other attorneys have ever done for me (and there have been many other attorneys!). They have been knowledgeable, careful, strategic, kind and compassionate. They are unafraid and unconventional when the situation calls for it. If you need capable representation from attorneys who care for their clients, call them now!

McDow & Urquhart literally wrote the book on divorce in South Carolina. That is not a bad thing. Rather, it is a tool that provides a wealth of information about the legalities of the seemingly chaotic situation that the dissolution of a marriage can be. Erin's timely responsiveness to my questions, concerns, and even a few fits of crying along with her sincere compassion were greatly appreciated. Had a very nasty lengthy divorce. A lot of details were left out of the divorce decree by Thomas McDow leading to unnecessary court dates and unnecessary cost. I had consultations with other attorneys after and was told the divorce decree should have been much clearer. Not sure if it was on purpose or overlooked. I never felt confident entering the court room and no one should feel that way with representation, especially after paying over 20k. Be very cautious when considering McDow and Urquhart.
