Extremely disappointed with my experience at Collins Ritchie & Ervin, specifically with attorney Alex. Communication was consistently lacking. Important documents and time-sensitive information were not shared with me unless I followed up multiple times. As a client, I should not have to chase my own attorney for updates or discovery responses. Billing was another major concern. I noticed an error involving 2.8 billed hours. Although it was corrected, the situation raised serious concerns about how time was being tracked. At no point did I receive a clear or transparent explanation of what work was being performed or why certain hours were billed. Family law matters are stressful enough, and the lack of communication and transparency only added unnecessary frustration. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for representation.

Collins, Ritchie & Ervin, LLP is a virtuous and meritorious practice; Matthew Ritchie assisted me with a domestic violence quandary in which my life was in imminent danger. Mr. Ritchie was compassionate, empathetic and assiduous in processing all the documentation required to obtain a five year DVRO against my ex-girlfriend; he was very communicable throughout the entire domestic violence restraining order process and even notified me the day my ex-girlfriend was released from Sacramento County Jail after his services had been effectively rendered which is an incontrovertibly exemplary business practice. The ultimate outcome was very fortuitous for myself and Matthew even reimbursed the remaining money left to me that I had compensated him on retainer! I would emphatically recommend him and his practice to anybody facing an analogous scenario to mine; thanks again, Matt!

Mr. Ritchie assisted me in stopping a garnishment for spousal support. I found him to be both knowledgeable and professional. Mr. Ritchie had an excellent sense of urgency in getting my case resolved. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience, and I am glad to recommend his services.

Mr. Ervin was prompt on every email and I feel like he has my best interest in mind with each suggestion he gave me.

Not a good attorney needs to be back in school go else were

I Initially sent a web form and got a call back. After some time I called them and they said they would "discuss" my situation to the lawyer. They said they would call me back. No one called me back. I assumed ok they will call me back. After 4 weeks, I call back and say what is going on, they say they don't want want to take the case due to eviction. I told them the case has nothing to do with eviction, Jacob over the phone told me we can make a case about undue influence initially. They assumed everything straight from the gate. and the lack of communication is what shocked me. If your not going to take a case, at least let me know.
