Drury Pullen, A Professional Law Corporation

I’ve hired a few lawyers in my 66 years, and I have to say, Jennifer Drury is the most unfriendly, (a huge Debbie Downer) lawyer I’ve ever dealt with. I don’t know how her law firm stays in business with such lack of people skills. Plus she is unprofessional and lacks the knowledge to even deal with my case. Unfortunately, I found this out AFTER I sent her $5,150 dollars. She rarely got back to me, and had the temerity to say "I am sure you understand that you are not my only client." I’ve never in my life (nor any people I know who dealt with an attorney,) been told that. It’s not only disrespectful, but completely unacceptable. And when I didn’t understand something she was telling me (I’m an RN not a legal scholar,) she got defensive and said she had already explained it to me. Then she had the audacity to send me an email saying "Please see my comments below in ALL CAPS." Is that professional? Is that kind, is that what an attorney I paid $5,150 to retain would email to a client? Oh yes, her assistant Elizabeth, was very friendly to me before I sent the retainer, and never heard from her again. I am making a complaint to the California State Bar because Jennifer Drury doesn’t have any right to represent the people of the State of California.

I can not say enough positive things about Susanna Pullen. I have had quite a bit of skepticism working with family law attorneys due to some past disappointing experiences, but such was not the case with Susanna Pullen. She is extremely knowledgable when it comes to family law and comes very well prepared for every meeting and court appearance we attended. She's was compassionate regarding our cause, and she never disappointed us with her timely efforts and follow through. If you want someone by your side in the courtroom, I don't know if there is anyone much better!!

Susanna Pullen is the best family law attorney in Santa Barbara, and she's also one of my favorite people. Her paperwork is really impressive and she's even better in the court room. The way she questioned witnesses in my trial was like out of a movie. What I like most about her is her style. She's not vicious like a lot of attorneys are. You might think that vicious is what you want but it's not what the judge wants. The judge doesn't hate your ex. Her voice in her written pleadings and in the courtroom is the voice of reason and fairness. That's the voice you want to use when presenting your case to the court. She attracts the top tier hourly rate for family law attorneys in Santa Barbara but her time is worth double even that. Her work is of higher quality and she gets it done much faster than other attorneys I have used when I tried to save money. More importantly, she has integrity and plenty of other clients, so she won't waste your money turning over every useless stone and pursuing hopeless strategies unless you want her to. If you plan on doing anything serious you'll end up with a better result at a lower final cost than if you hire another, nominally cheaper attorney. Call her and then do whatever she tells you to do.

I have worked with both Jennifer Drury and Susanna Pullen on three separate cases now and would never think about going to anyone else. My experience with this is law firm is that they have a high level of integrity, they are very transparent about all sides of a case and will tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. They were very clear on the process and what it would entail, including how to prepare emotionally for this kind of difficult situation. Drury Pullen Law has been very fair with pricing and provided options for my budget, incredibly responsive and supportive during the court process, and set clear boundaries and expectations around how we would work together. While there were plenty of surprises in my cases, there were no surprises from this firm. I think what stood out most is the degree that I felt Jennifer and Susanna really cared about my family and children and approached my cases based on what would be best and fair for everyone involved. While I would never wish the court process on anyone, Drury and Pullen made this a much more bearable process and most importantly have provided the best possible outcome for my children each time. If you care about working with attorney's that have a heart and integrity, that are not interested in dragging out your case to make more money off you while tearing your family farther apart, then Jennifer Drury and Susanna Pullen are exactly who you will want to work with.

I would never look elsewhere. Susanna Pullen is truly one in a million. Her heart and mind are in the right place backed by an incredible professional drive to get the best outcome. Susanna is much more then a wonderful attorney, she is a fantastic person. I had a very difficult case … But as difficult as the legal system can be I wouldn’t ever want anyone else to guide me through it.
