I also had a terrible experience with Crystal Phillips from the Tampa office. I was charged a $5,000 retainer in 2019, was never represented in court because she said I didn’t make enough for her to file, yet I was still making payments and filled the retainer. Aside from wrongfully getting my daughter taken from me and given to my abusive, pill addicted ex, I was humiliated when the day of court came. Ms. Phillips did not file on my behalf, despite me paying for the retainer. I felt taken advantage of and still am struggling to see my daughter. I’ve worked as a paralegal and know the amount of work that is put into building cases. There’s no reason, especially when I was willing to scrape every penny I have, that she shouldn’t have at least filed what I payed for. But to show up in court, not file and then tell me that I don’t make enough is crazy. A firm purely fueled by greed.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM!!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. I was assigned Mrs Vogel a SENIOR PARTNER. She ignored my case until the last minute and took $20,000 to not do anythin for a 50/50 gamble and ultimately up to the judge in my divorce. None of my evidence was submitted. Then demanded &10k i didnt haveAll firms said my case should been easy. LIES!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM!!!!! They want to take your money and not do their job!!! Also Im a fresh DISABLED VET BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF with this firm!!! I would go after them if I could.

Claudia was a delight to deal with. She always kept me apprised of what was happening, and made suggestions for dealing with any new claims by opposing counsel. Claudia was always upbeat and positive which inspired my attitude. Claudia even volunteered to monitor my pickup of my possessions, when my ex attempted to block my efforts.

I have had an excellent experience with Ayo & Iken generally and Claudia Blackwell specifically. She is very knowledgeable about Florida divorce law and is very thorough and has walked me through every step of the process. We are not done yet, but expect to prevail. I will then change my rating to a five. Would recommend Claudia to anyone needing a good divorce attorney.
