Nader & Woodcock

I want to share my deeply frustrating and disheartening experience with Nader & Woodcock in hopes that it will help others avoid the same pitfalls that I unfortunately encountered. As someone who sought legal assistance in good faith, I am horrified to report that not only did the attorney assigned to my case fail to deliver any tangible results, but he also took advantage of my financial situation, ultimately scamming me out of $2200. This entire experience has not only caused me financial hardship but has also negatively affected my personal life, including putting me behind on child support payments. I want to ensure that no other individuals, particularly those from the Latino or Black communities, are misled or exploited by this firm. Lack of Professionalism and Action When I first contacted Nader & Woodcock, I was hopeful that I would receive the legal help I desperately needed. The lawyer I was assigned to, Amir A. Nader initially presented himself as knowledgeable, professional, and empathetic. His pitch was smooth, his promises were convincing, and he gave me the impression that he was genuinely interested in resolving my case. I trusted him because I believed he had the expertise to help me navigate my legal issue and achieve a fair outcome. However, as the weeks went by, I began to notice that there was little to no progress on my case. Despite multiple follow-ups and requests for updates, the communication from Attorney Amir A. Nader became more infrequent, and he often seemed disinterested when I managed to get ahold of him. I paid him $2200 in good faith, trusting that he would put in the effort required to handle my case, but this payment quickly turned out to be nothing more than a means for him to line his pockets. The work he did, or more accurately, the lack of work, was utterly shocking. I expected at least some tangible action to be taken on my case, whether it was gathering evidence, filing necessary documents, or making contact with relevant parties. Instead, Amir A. Nader seemed to disappear entirely from the picture. He failed to meet critical deadlines, didn’t provide me with any substantial legal advice, and, worse, showed no genuine effort to help resolve my situation. It became increasingly clear that my case was simply not a priority for him. Financial Consequences and Further Strain. To make matters worse, this attorney’s negligence didn’t just hurt me emotionally and professionally—it also severely impacted my financial stability. As I continued to chase the attorney for any sort of progress, I found myself falling further into debt. Not only had I paid a considerable sum for legal representation that was never provided, but I also began missing important payments, including child support. The emotional toll of knowing that I was failing to meet my responsibilities for my children only compounded the stress I was already under. I had trusted this attorney to assist me in resolving a financial burden, but instead, he only added to it. The $2200 I paid was a significant amount of money for me, and I had hoped it would alleviate my stress by helping me resolve my legal issues. Instead, I am now further entrenched in financial difficulty, with the added complication of falling behind on child support payments. This has caused irreparable damage to my personal life, and I am left feeling betrayed by someone who promised to be a professional ally. Misleading Promises and Deceptive Practices What’s even more concerning about my experience with [Attorney's Name] is the deceptive nature of his communication. He was extremely skilled at sweet-talking me into believing that my case was in capable hands, often telling me exactly what I wanted to hear. Each time I questioned his progress or asked for a status update, he assured me that things were moving forward and that the legal process simply took time. His responses were always polite, yet empty—providing no actual insight or actionable steps. I will seek legal justice from Amir A. Nader and will also seek a full refund of my money & suspend him

I have been a client for more than 12 years and 100% recommend them to everyone! I did my homework before finding Nader, Naraghi & Woodcock and am so glad I did… I wouldn’t go anywhere else! The head of the firm is Hamid and it’s clear he’s very knowledgeable and truly cares about his clients (as does everyone else in his firm). The first time I was in court with Bill, his professionalism and integrity stood out in stark contrast to the opposing, which confirmed I had made the right choice for a law firm. At some of the most upsetting moments, Amir has been a pragmatic rock of reason and extremely supportive. He once said "We will walk with you every step of the way" and that has stuck in my head throughout. The hidden gem of the firm is paralegal Elvira – she is efficient, organized and so friendly that you would want her as part of your family. This team will not disappoint if it’s important for you to have both expertise AND uncompromising ethics.

I was referred to this firm (specifically Hamid Naraghi) by my sister in law up in the Bay Area. I am a dentist and I used this firm to represent me in the sale of my practice. I can’t say enough good things about the service and attentiveness of Mr. Hamid Naraghi. From the get go, he had my best interest in mind and advised me with honesty and integrity every step of the way. He was always accessible, and often got back to me within minutes/ hours. Often times I would call him and talk with him as early as 7 am. He was very transparent with his time and rate and was super fair with his charges. There were so many times that I would call and talk to him about little things and I am sure he didn’t charge me for it. He didn’t nickel and dime like many other attorneys. I have spent way to much money on 2 other Lawyers before finding them. While the other Lawyers I had, had a lower hourly rate, they were "garbage" compared to Bill Woodcock. Yes, it was hard in the beginning to swallow the price tag, but the Service I have received is top notch and was worth every penny. When I say Service that means: 1) Legal knowledge and navigation of everything involving a divorce including being human. 2) Business ethics: Very transparent communication. If things were not clear for Bill, or Elvira, they do not pretend to know everything, and have billed me accordingly. I never had the impression that I got billed for something that wasn't necessary or unfair or just raking up the bill for the sake of "printing" money for them, in other words "lazy". (unlike with all of my other Lawyer experiences) I can wholeheartedly say, I have gotten a really good deal with Bill, Elvira and their partners as they have in my eyes mastered to run their firm as a firm to be of service for their clients first in mind. I would 100% work with him again, plus refer all my friends and family to him. PS: Also, to be clear: I have not been compensated for anything I said here.

I have been a client of NNW for several years now and have used their services exclusively in a very lengthy and contentious divorce. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and professional. I have always been able to count on my them to respond to calls and correspondence promptly and to have answers or information I need in a very timely manner. I have been impressed with their breadth and depth of knowledge in family law and I have referred several friends and associates to them who have had equally positive experiences in their respective proceedings (thankfully much shorter than my own). My personal attorney, Bill Woodcock, is a well-practiced litigator and has a solid grasp of the statutes and case laws, making him a very effective advocate in the court room. He has represented me in multiple hearings during my divorce. I say this as someone who works in a litigious environment daily (albeit not family law) and has worked with numerous other attorneys on unrelated matters. I have certainly seen both high and low quality representation and I am highly satisfied with Bill and NNW for my own personal needs. Critically, I have never felt like I was being taken advantage of financially or that the firm was trying to nickel and dime me for their work. I do firmly believe you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to professional services, and my engagement with NNW had been well worth it. The work product I’ve received for my money has been an outstanding investment. I almost never leave reviews for anything and I am not receiving anything in return for this review. However, in this instance, I felt it worthwhile to strongly recommend this firm for any legal needs in the scope of their representation.
