Edit: I talked to the executive director and I feel extremely grateful and better thank you so much for contacting me My Experience: I am writing this review one week after my consultation and after attempting to address my concerns directly with the firm. I contacted the office to speak with the managing attorney regarding a serious complaint but I have received no response. My fiancé and I scheduled this consultation to seek legal advice regarding our future options as an engaged, binational couple. We were seeking objective guidance to make an informed decision, explicitly stating that moving to the America was one of several option ( and likely our last choice. ) From the outset, the attorney was unprofessional. She flatly refused to speak with or acknowledge my fiancé, who was present for the joint consultation on the phone. The most alarming part of the meeting was her blatantly racist and prejudiced commentary. Upon learning that my fiancé is Indian, she stated, and I quote, "You know a lot of Indian people are trying to get into America right now and you should really look out for scams." She proceeded to repeatedly stereotype Indian people, making unfounded claims about H1B visa seekers and emphasizing her "scam" narrative multiple times. She even advised me to "look through his devices." Her entire diatribe was based on a harmful and racist stereotype, not on the legal merits of our case. She concluded this deeply inappropriate exchange with the flippant remark, "I feel like I'm killing young love." This was my first time consulting a lawyer independently, and I was shocked into silence, simply trying to get through the meeting. The attorney's conduct was discriminatory, unethical, and has left me feeling upset and angry. We sought professional advice and were met with bigotry. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this lawyer or firm to anyone.

A fantastic service for the city and county, providing rehoming for immigrants from across the world. They have social workers, interpreters, lawyers, job placement, housing... they do amazing work. And the new location in Canal Place is bright and spacious, very welcoming.
