Me gusta ese lugar por que puedo usar las computadoras puedo aprender y muy ordenado con los lideres de hay
Beautiful sprawling campus. Large central Student Center with a Starbucks, bookstore and many other choices for food. Business and entrepreneurship building, culinary arts, theater, art gallery. Hands-On Innovation Center that partners with many community businesses. Free parking.
The fall and spring film series at Stocker Arts Center is a gem. The movies are shown on a large screen. They feature a broad array of topics, beautiful cinematography, and tickets are only $7.
My daughter's music program had a performance at LCCC. The food was catered by LCCC. It was delicious. It's also a very nice building
Recently had to jump through hoops to enroll my daughter here after we found out she was not only a recipient of the incentive scholarship award through LCCC, but 3 other outside scholarships. One through LHS and 2 through Community Foundation of Lorain. Her only goal was to pursue nursing as a LPN. After speaking to 3 different advisors... she was finally told she needed to take a few prerequisite courses along with STNA. We later recognized the 2 years she spent taking STNA at Lorain High School via Healthcare Tech program does not count as a college credit plus course, and that she needed to re-take the class at the college level to even be considered to apply into the LPN program. One other thing her advisor didn't mentioned that she needed to be certified in CPR. Luckily for my daughter she was... since she was pursuing nursing into the LPN program she would be considered a fast track student. Needless to say after reaching out to Financial aid, countless of times no one was able to help her access her fast track funds. When they did, it was too late. I ended up paying for her books and uniform straight out of my pocket. Since she was enrolled for the fall term her summer term tuition was free. Unfortunately after starting the STNA training... she was told on the second day by her instructor after failing 1 quiz at the time to drop out. When my daughter told me this... I knew something was wrong. So, I encouraged her to stick with it there after my daughter reported that the same instructor kept telling her she should drop the course. Needless to say it messed with my daughters confidence that she decided to withdraw from Lorain County Community College. I get that an instructor will suggest this for academic reason after one week, but on the 2nd day is crazy! I just want to say I am proud of my daughter for standing up for herself. She has found a College that is better suited for the actual program or career she wants to study. Hopefully she gets new instructors that encourages their students rather then discourage them.
This school is great. They really care about helping students succeed. Any problem that you have that would be a barrier to you going to this school and succeeding there, they probably can help you fix it and they will. Supportive services are plentiful and amazing, and you can get Bachelor's and Master's degrees from many of the big universities in Ohio through the University Partnerships, right on their campus and for a lot cheaper!
Absolutely ridiculous my account was sent to the attorney general for something I did not owe. I called in multiple times to talk to bursar office and never got a call back. Was told from another financial aid worker my account was showing nothing to be owed. Funny thing I just heard of multiple stories of the same thing. Will be hiring a lawyer.
