I have a close friend of over 50 years that has been trying to get her estate in order and get her final will and testament and power of attorney completed while she has been very ill with Parkinson's disease and declining rapidly. I took her to meet with Mr. Hoffman 6 months ago and I have been trying to assist her during the last 2 months to get Hoffman and Hoffman to send her legal documents to sign via a mobile notary. She has no family or heirs to her estate and if not done by the time she passes, it will go to probate and to the state of CA. Mr. Hoffman had some requirements of her doctors which we were able to obtain as she rapidly declined physically. We were told one thing by Mr. Hoffman that was required and after much work, we obtained it from her primary care physician. Then we were told by Mr. Hoffman that it was insufficient and needed something additional from her doctor and we had to start over. We then complied and got what was needed & sent it 12 days ago when she was still able to sign documents. Her primary care interviewed her for a 2nd time in a month and found her to be capable of entering into a legal document. But have heard nothing back from Mr. Hoffman at all and now it's too late as she's expected to pass in the next 24 hours and unable to now sign. Very disappointed with Hoffman and Hoffman! While I am not their client, I've done all in my power to assist their client to honor my close friend's last wishes and fell short. I would not have benefited in any way other than giving my long time friend peace of mind. It breaks my heart ! I do not recommend Hoffman and Hoffman legal firm.
