Megan Merritt has been extremely difficult to work with throughout active litigation. In my experience, she repeatedly disregarded procedural fairness and professional courtesy. She filed and relied on a deposition transcript despite my timely requests to review and correct it, and she moved for summary judgment while outstanding discovery requests remained unanswered. Requested discovery materials were not produced within the required timeframes, yet filings proceeded as though the record were complete. Communication felt one-sided and dismissive of legitimate procedural objections. Rather than engaging in good-faith discovery or resolving issues cooperatively, her approach appeared overly aggressive and premature, creating unnecessary procedural disputes. This was a frustrating and stressful experience, particularly for a pro se litigant attempting to follow Iowa civil rules carefully and in good faith. I would highly encourage her clients to seek legal representation elsewhere and to be highly informed of your rights because she will violate them whenever she chooses.
