You'll see a bunch of vague reviews here criticizing them, but here is an actual reasonable review: They are an understaffed non-profit doing their best. Whenever I have dealt with them they have done everything they can to help. Depending on where you are sometime sit may take awhile to get ahold of someone. They do not "work for the landlords" like I see another review here saying. I actually just called them legal advice on a tenants right's issue and they gave me very clear and actionable advice to advocate for myself and escrow rent if need be. If you call them and don't get the answer you like, think maybe if you are upset with them or if the law itself needs changed - and then go vote accordingly.

Great team of people. They are very communicative and concerned about my case. Also has social service that helped me get basic needs met. I appreciate their dedication.

Just got off the phone with them after waiting a little over two hours to speak to someone. Nowhere in their waiting call line did it state that their intake closes after a specific time after I was informed of such. I wish that was stated somewhere. However, when actually discussing in person legal problems they were helpful and informative.

I agree with what someone said about Donna Mayer Esq. All talk no action. She is the laziest person, she gets promoted which further emboldens her inability and incompetence as a lawyer, and now does more nothing. Settles all of her cases on really super bad terms and passes the cases that she's supposed to take on to newbies newly hired associates. There needs to be accountability in this office.

Mackey is a very caring individual. She takes her job very seriously unlike some other people who work there.

I called and spoke with emily there in reguards to a matter a I need help with figuring out and was in formed that I needed to call else where because they do not give out legal advice there at legal aid. So tell me if legal aid does not give legal advice or help with legal matters then what is it that they do? I suppose that its either a case of an employee who doesn't want to work or false advertisement.
