I am disappointed in the Bailey Law Firm. It might be just how they handle small estate probate. From how this progressed, it is apparent that there is some sort of checklist of things required before going to court. Instead, we were given one small step, and once we provided documentation that it was done we heard nothing. After waiting several weeks, we had to ask what’s next and then get the next small step. After a couple more rounds like that, we found an envelope of bonds that pushed it beyond a small estate probate. Well, again we heard nothing and had to ask, now to find that they need a new engagement agreement and a new retainer, even though we don’t think we got much for our money on the first retainer. Since this means starting over, I guess we’ll let someone else do it.

Matthew and the paralegal both asked a lot of questions and were the ONLY ones- out of a half dozen consults- who took notes, and they took copious ones. I did not follow their advice to file for conservatorship because it would have cost $5k and I knew how much it would upset the sibling draining my parents' accounts, from whom I was seeking protection. The note-taking aspect proved to be important later when my sibling filed for conservatorship himself. This firm had, unfortunately, lost interest, so I had to hire someone less competent.

Mr. Bailey walked me through a very difficult time. He & his team are amazing. Not To mention he has been voted the top elder care attorney several years running.

High retainer fees for nothing. These people tell you they have everything they need from you but when you call WEEKS later to see why nothing has been done, they say they need more paperwork. They did this twice, which leads me to believe they do not know what they're doing.

Very helpful attorneys and staff when you need help with elder law. Explains things in a way you can understand. Great people to count on in a difficult situation with older family members.

The firm's attorneys are knowledgeable about estate planning and advise for the clients preferred outcomes. I'm very pleased with their service.
