SLEAZY. I will never purchase another property where this firm is handling the closing. While this was admittedly a more complicated transaction involving a manufactured home title retirement, the amount of fees added to the settlement statement was excessive. What was most frustrating was that several fees appeared to have zero explanation or justification when questioned. I fully understand that attorneys, title companies, and closing agents deserve to be compensated for their work. However, this organization is flying under the radar trying to take whatever they can from their "clients." To be fair, after pushing back, they did agree to remove ONE of the $350 charges. However, even then, I never received a satisfactory explanation as to what that fee was actually for in the first place. My advice to anyone using this firm is simple: review your HUD carefully and question every fee. Do not assume every charge is non-negotiable - Especially with this group... Transparency matters, and unfortunately that was lacking in my experience. Again, I will never purchase another property where this firm is handling the closing.
