Paul Adams is hands down the best attorney I could have ever hoped for. He’s not only incredibly knowledgeable and dependable, but he genuinely cares about his clients. He made my custody case so much easier, guided me through every step, and always answered my questions with patience and honesty. I’ve already recommended him to friends because I know anyone would be lucky to have him on their side. If you want an attorney who truly goes above and beyond, Paul Adams is the one!
Attorney Dave Ervin was outstanding! He helped me navigate a difficult contractor issue with professionalism, clear communication, and genuine care. He explained everything in a way I could understand and moved quickly to protect my interests. Highly recommend him to anyone needing a dependable and knowledgeable attorney.
I seriously can’t recommend Paul enough. He’s an amazing attorney with actual morals. I worked with 3 well-known attorneys in Wilmington before working with Paul, and I regret not having him from the beginning. He prayed for me, my girls and our case when I first spoke with him, and then went on to win our case!
I have dealt with attorneys for a few things and Paul Adams and Beth are absolutely the best of them all. They are incredibly personable and truly care about their clients. This particular situation where I needed their help was rough. They made me feel so comfortable. Beth should be a therapist part time. I am so grateful to have had their help and direction.
Paul Adams represented my wife during our separation. Once the consent order was signed and I was informed that it was entered, I dropped a check off at my lawyer‘s office. After 15 days, my wife had not only not received payment but hadn’t heard anything from Paul Adams and company. So, inappropriate as it may have been, I went to their office to get an explanation for her, since she told me that they charged her for every time she called or emailed, you know, "billable hours." Mind you, this is the same attorney who got my signature sheet from my attorney for the consent order, and somehow took the consent order in front of a judge to be signed and entered with a blank signature page, some judge actually signed an entered it without my blank signature page, and all I could think at the time was, " You had one job." Anyway, I walked in and asked to speak with Paul Adams. The woman who greeted me, asked me my name and said she would be right back. At this point, it occurred to me that I may want to audio record the conversation, since I was technically in enemy territory and expected that talking with a lawyer who wasn’t representing me might be best done with evidence of the conversation. So, I started audio recording while she was away. She returned to give me an explanation about how they were waiting for the check to clear, that it had just cleared, but they had not heard anything from my wife. I clarified that they had the check, they had to wait for it to clear, they found out it had cleared, and they expected that my wife would know exactly when to call them? Now, I may not be the most cultured gentleman in Wilmington, North Carolina, but I do know how to conduct myself in a manner befitting of any public relations situation. I asked my questions in a stern, steadfast manner, holding her feet to the fire (so to speak) while keeping my equanimity. Amazingly, Paul’s office contacted her that same afternoon, letting her know that she could come pick her check up the following morning. I do love results! But get this; they also informed her that I had come by their office, that I was yelling and cussing at the staff and all of the lawyers, and that they had to kick me out out of their office. Now, I didn’t see everyone in their office. I did see Paul Adams come out of his little side office with a client and walk across into the back with him, and I saw the woman who greeted me in the foyer/waiting area. If I am to judge any of the rest of the people in the office, who I never laid eyes on, by Mr. Adams, I would highly doubt that they would be capable of kicking me out of their office unless I wanted to go. I am a sizable guy who can do repetitions with 315 pounds on an incline bench. However, as previously stated, I know how to conduct myself, and I feel rather estimable when I do so in an amicable manner. After hearing these outrageous allegations, I sent the audio recording to my wife, who listened and laughed at the idea that they reported to her such nonsense. Fast-forward to this morning, when she goes by there to get her check and they tell her that I can never go to their office again, it was such a "scary experience" and that I was terrifying. She asked them to elaborate and they told her the same story again. She then played the recording for them that I had sent her, demonstrating that I had my emotions in check and my demeanor demonstrated nothing but absolute professionalism. Once Paul Adams realized that this recording was demonstrating just that and thereby illustrating his absolutely unnecessary and juvenile lies, he blew up at my wife cussing at her and telling her to turn it off. The following five minutes was a lot of yelling at my wife and telling her how she is inappropriate. Ultimately, they cut her check with the balance of what she owed them deducted from it. By the way, they had told her that, if she would leave them a five star review on Google, they would not charge her the balance of what she owed. I see here that they have paid for a lot of five star reviews.
Paul has been excellent since our initial consultation. He has a great deal of expertise and knowledge in family law. What I really appreciate most is that he truly cares about his clients. He’s very personable, which makes me feel at ease. My divorce has been one of the most troubling times in my life, but I’m grateful to have a Paul as my attorney. Dave is awesome too, he’s stepped in at times and helped with my case. I highly recommend Ervin Law.
Paul was there from the beginning answering all of my questions during my divorce. His counsel kept me calm throughout the whole scary process. He stood up for me and protecting me and my children. Beth was in constant contact with me letting me know what my next steps were. She was awesome in getting back to me almost immediately when something came up and Paul was not available. Their expertise and counsel were evident from day one. My children and I will be forever grateful to them.
