Flipping through Super Lawyers and what do I see — a familiar face! Karen Fitzgerald, Top 100 and Top 50 Women Lawyers in Dallas-Fort Worth, still out there helping folks stand up to the man. Love seeing good people doing great work. If anyone needs an employment-law powerhouse, she’s the real deal.

It's never a good time in one's life when you're looking for an attorney. Karen provided me with excellent advice and the confidence I needed to get satisfaction to my difficult situation, and I highly recommend her. In fact, Karen was recommended to me by a friend who is an in-house employment attorney who has "gone-up-against" Karen. It's a great sign when Karen's professional rivals have complimentary things to say about her. Karen is clearly an expert in her field, offered options in how we approached my situation, was responsive, empathic and direct with her advice. She did not sugar coat the weaknesses in my case, which I appreciated. Make no mistake, she was at all times professional, polite and frankly enjoyable to deal with, but she calls it as she sees it. (After all I came to her looking for an attorney, not a therapist.) I hope I never have a need to use an employment attorney ever again, but if I do, without a shadow of a doubt, it's going to be Karen.

Just called and spoke to the receptionist. She was absolute rude and argumentative, and showed no empathy for a potential client. There was no formal greeting when she answered just, "Hello." When I started explaining my issue and where I found their lawyers information she very indirectly said no and would not let me finish what I was saying and just hung up.

Professional, compassionate, and honest. Mrs. Fitzgerald gave me guidance and advice that helped ease the weight of my situation. Lawyer of the Year award is well deserved.

I made an initial call on behalf of the situation that I’m in. Was told right off the bat I wasn’t gonna be able to be helped. Told her this was my first time dealing with this type of thing if she could just tell me what the process is. Her response was very rude ignorant and could care less about how she’s representing the firm in which she’s answering phones. I was so disgusted with her reply to a very simple question to someone who’s has no knowledge about this. Not the friendliest secretary and you could very well hear it in her voice from the moment she answered the phone no good morning how are you none of that
