Had such a great exprience with Kit! She was extremely thorough and detailed without speaking in legal jibberish. She made sure to address all of my questions and concerns, and I felt genuinely supported the entire time. She didn't try to upsell me on any additional services or costs, and followed up with a thoughtful message after our consultation. It was a bit slow to get an appointment scheduled here, but other than that, would definitely recommend their services!

Overall, great experience having a separation agreement reviewed after a layoff. Getting things scheduled for a consultation was painless. Attorney walked through the agreement in detail with me to understand the terms and call out anything that might be concerning or needing revision, and answered any questions I had in general about certain sections. I only took 1 star off because I spent a fair bit of time filling out the intake form with details about my request, but when the consultation came up, the attorney asked me what my goals were. This isn't a huge deal, but it felt like the details I provided weren't reviewed or had been forgotten altogether — considering that I'm paying $350 for someone to basically interpret a legal agreement.

After completing intake paperwork, I expected a strategy discussion to review my objectives and goals. Instead, there were several weeks without communication, and I later learned outreach had been made in my matter before we had aligned on approach. This was frustrating and disappointing, as I expected to be consulted first and have clarity on direction before any significant steps were taken. I’m sharing my experience so prospective clients can ask detailed questions about communication, decision-making, and how strategy discussions are handled at the outset.

I can’t speak highly enough about my experience with Kit at Livelihood Law and the support she provided for my legal needs.
