I am a real estate agent and was recently working with a client whose home was scheduled to be sold in a foreclosure auction. My client retained attorney Timothy McFarlin to represent her, and his team immediately sprang into action helping her stop the sale and negotiate a forbearance agreement that allowed her to restructure the debt and keep her home. In addition to providing her with excellent representation and customer service, he was compassionate in recognizing that she was going through financial hardship and was willing to work with her to bring his services within reach. Wow! Thank you Thank you so much for all you have done. I had been trying for 3 1/2 years to get a loan modification. While dealing with the back and forth tactics of my lender, they decided to foreclose, (which is totally illegal if you are "working with a client on a mod") I did my research, and interviewed 5 different law firms. I decided on McFarlin after speaking with some of their staff, and my decision was confirmed when I met with Timothy. What a down to earth, genuinely nice guy, super knowledgeable and someone that will do whatever it takes to make things right. Immediately they went to work and filed an injunction and eventually got the foreclosure cancelled. The lender agreed to consider my case for a modification. This is when Mary, McFarlin's Legal Secretary (Wonder Woman) stepped i and worked diligently with me for almost a year, hounding the lender and going back and forth until a few days before Christmas 2015. Mary called and I did not answer, she called right back and was so genuinely excited to tell me that we had received a loan modification! All I can say is if you are in the position of possibly losing your home, call McFarlin, they are the best. I would be on the street if it were not for them! Thank you Tim, Mary and staff! Not sure what is going on at this law firm. Hired him in May, paid $5k, then another $4k in August. They completely stopped communicating with me. Come find out later in September they are shutting down. Nice girl refunded my money and said they where going to close Yet in November they recharged me again, no call backs, no email replies. Even their website is down. Went to their office it's all locked up. The suite next door, nice lady told me he was going through a divorce. Does not matter what he is going through, he has a fiduciary duty to his clients. This man complete "abandoned" his clients and continues to take peoples money. ***EVERYONE STAY AWAY*** From this place. I hate to have to do this but now I hired another attorney against this law firm. UPDATE - I was just contacted by the California State Bar, this attorney is under investigation for taking money and abandoning his clients.
