Legal Action of Wisconsin

Got told yeah idk what to tell you on the phone because I’m not a recipient of social security benefits or any type of state benefits and the company suing me is not on the list of company’s they work with.

Contacted multiple times for different reasons, all legit, complex reasons that requires legal help to navigate effectively. Was turned away every single time and claimed this was due to "a lack of resources." If these lawyers are swamped with cases and cannot feasibly take on anymore, perhaps there should be something done about that. Due to this, individuals and families like mine go without this much needed legal advocacy. Agencies like this are put in place to protect us and are failing to do this. Falling through the cracks is an understatement. It is a terrible fact and one that should not continue to happen upon resources like this being available in Wisconsin.

Called for help with an unemployment appeal, went through the intake checklist with the receptionist, then didn't hear from them for a month. They finally called me back a week after my hearing had already happened.

Contacted online multiple times for family reasons and never a response until Friday when I received an automated email saying "unfortunately we're not accepting new clients in your county" Don't know what the purpose of this business is if they aren't helping Wisconsin residents.

I went in looking for help on wrongful eviction, I still had a month to fix it before court. I was a sign Ms. Erica Lopez. I called for 2 and half weeks just wondering on answers to my case and if ms lopez would go to a meeting with my head landlord. Over and over again I was told she not available leave messages I called 6 different times and nothing. I had to call another lawyer to get help on why ms Lopez hasn't called only then did ms Lopez call me back only to be rude. Tell me that she is so busy going to trials, told me she will try to reach out to my landlord before my date is up but it most likely will have to go to court. She asked me few questions and as I was explaining the situation you stop me and said "oh I have a phone call I'll call you back" then hung up on me. I haven't heard nothing since. I'm sorry my case wasnt in court yet but I really thought I could get help before court. Ms Lopez left me in tears at work to the point they sent me home so I lost a day of work and My anxiety is horrible now but it's my fault for having somuch faith in legal action. One phone call or text or email something to tell me they cant help. Now I'm left looking for help at the last minute. My note to you Ms. Erica Lopez is treat people with respect you dont know how the situation has that person already feeling.

Got attorney Kevin Magee on my disability case 3 years ago. So far has done nothing on my case. I have called him many times and I get excuses. Man seems to be on vacation every week. Now hes on his way to new york for a friend. Seem to be some rasism going on. I mention I am native american and I get hit left and right by disability. Woman at the janesville office told me straight to my face, you do not deserve disability. I worked 36 years for the little I get.. Rasists, rasists..

Their website says low income help, but after walking in looking for divorce help because of my over controlling spouse I was given two options that would not help me at all and cost more than anything I could afford. Seams to me they are just another legal aid office that favors women over men.
