I am writing this review to tell everyone about the the terrific experience I've had with the Herbert law firm. In 2018, I was wrongfully disqualified from consideration to the Chicago police department. I hired Herbert law firm for my appeal. My attorney Kelly did a terrific job of representing me during the hearing even on less than 24 hours notice. Her defense at the hearing was excellent as she poked major holes through the city's very flimsy case which consisted of a single sheet of paper listing a few minor disciplinary actions over the course of my 11 year career as a corrections officer in New Jersey. Had it not been for masterful legal representation, my hopes of becoming a Chicago police officer would have been taken away from me, and very unjustly so. To Kelly and everyone at Herbert law firm, thank you so very much. You have done more for me than I could have possibly hoped for. If anyone is in a similar situation, I strongly recommend hiring them. You will not regret it.

Dan took our case midway through our lawsuit. Dan and his team Elizabeth and Kelly are great attorneys and worked very hard. They spent countless hours to catch-up on all the facts to get up to speed. Despite there being over 30,000 pages of discover, plus 14 depositions transcript with only 3 weeks left to trial Dan and his team has got most of the facts down pretty well. He has always gotten back to us when we have left a message via email or phone. He is a very ethical person and does stand up to what he promises. The only negative quality would be that when you initially meet him, he comes off a bit too strong and intimidating - but I guess that’s the kind of person you need as trial a attorney. I would definitely recommend.

"Drop a dime and Dan's in time!" Dan is a great attorney and it doesn't hurt that he looks sensational in a Sergio Georgini custom-fit suit with matching leather zip-up ankle boots. Dan helped me to make the enlightened decision not to show up on the witness stand while hopped-up on prescription medications. It sounded counter-intuitive to mine ears, but I listened to Dan and everything turned out great in the end and I was able to resume my career as a franchise-pizza-chain magician (Though even under oath, I'll never tell how I can make a cigarette go through a quarter!). This firm is absolute garbage. Took $1000 retainer to take my case, months later says he cannot proceed and they would not refund my money back. Very unethical, and not professional. Do not use him, there are much better lawyers out there that will actually take your case seriously and not rob you. Add On 01/06/2020: Looks like the firm has a standard copy and paste response for negative reviews, and can't seem to find any of their former clients. You wrote me a letter on June 05th, 2017 if that will refresh your memory. DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER! IF THIS DOESN'T PROVE HOW SHADY HE IS, NOTHING WILL.
