We hired Mr Yarborough for my son’s appeal in Horry County. I am very discontented, despondent, disappointed and thoroughly disgusted in the way the case was handled. Communication was none existent between lawyer and client and lawyer and myself. A majority of the time my mother (dependent grandmother) had to reach out to him for a follow up or updates on case. He only visited my son in 4 years the month before for 30mins. When he would eventually respond he was brief, abrupt when speaking. We had to schedule appointments and drive 3 hours in order to get a 15 minute conversation with him. Unfortunately when so much time and money is involved it’s hard to know what/who the right person is and isn’t possible to get a refund so you are able to hire a qualified attorney. He produced zero results unless more stress and anxiety, loss of time & money is what we were looking for.. I never really felt like he was working on the case as he claimed yet he basically promised he had this case won. Since the verdict was read, he has avoided all calls, no return calls from myself , mother and defendant. He wouldn’t even speak to us after our loss as my mother and I were walking out of the courthouse discombobulated. We were in complete and utter shock. I have felt like I let my son down considering I found and hired Mr Yarborough. He literally stuttered during the entire trial and cited a case that did not exist/the judge could not find. Horrible!! My son has wasted years in prison and money that could have gone to his child. I hope one day justice prevails and Mr Yarborough steps away from all the law. He isn’t worth all your money, time and in our case LIFE. We are disappointed in the SC judicial system as a whole and Mr Yarborough as an individual.
